CHRISTMAS🎄 It feels just like yesterday when we flipped our calendars from November to December and began counting the days until Christmas, starting off with day one. And now, Christmas has gone by, but its spirit remains. The warmth amidst the pouring rain for the past few days cannot be forgotten.
I would like to take this opportunity to reminisce about Christmas Day one more time here in my blog by walking you through our simple Christmas tradition.
For my family, Christmas is something that we celebrate together as a whole, like what almost everyone else does. My favorite cousin from my mother's side, who grew up in the care of my Lola, always spends Christmas Day with us. From Manila, she came back to Cebu just to be with us. My older sister, her boyfriend, and my father all took a leave from their work and came home to celebrate.
Meet my family! ^^
One by one, my mama asked us what food we wanted for Christmas and cooked it for the family. My sister and I were in charge of the dessert. We made the trending "Graham Bar" dessert.

Dinner Time!
We played Christmas songs on our TV while we ate our dinner. My mama prepared some bam-i, caldereta, fried chicken, and grilled pork. We also got some drinks and shared it among us over some fun conversations.
The goodies I received from my fam 🎁 💖
I got a wireless Bluetooth earbuds, a lip tint, a sandal, a cute little mug with a cat print, which I love so much, and some money from my sister. An adorable comb paired with a cute black ribbon hair clip from my cousin. A pair of black pants, a wallet, and other pieces of clothing from my parents. I am so grateful for all of the presents I have received, but the greatest gift of all are the very people who gifted me all of the goodies—my family.

Around 2 in the morning, we started preparing for bed, had our air bed pumped up, and the four of us—my sister, her boyfriend, my cousin, and I—slept outside. We end up sleeping at exactly 3 and waking up at five, but I went back to bed in my room and slept until 9 hahaha.
Hours later, my aunt from my father's side also came to celebrate, together with his son, my younger cousin haha who I'm also close with. He recently just broke up with her girlfriend so we decided to comfort him by teasing him a lot hahhaha. We made him sing sad emotional songs the whole day.
We spent the rest of the day singing, eating, drinking, laughing, and talking. And I also spent the entire day washing dishes, it was fine with me, but my hand wasn't fine with it because a section of my skin literally ripped open. It's painful and had swollen a little bit, but bearable. I guess?
Among all of the holidays, Christmas is the one I look forward to the most! To celebrate my Saviour's birth with the people I love the most is something that I will be forever grateful.
From my family to yours, Happy Holidays everyone! 💓
