Hello Hivers π Another day for a new blog! I hope everyone has a great day π
Around 4:00 PM on November 1, we visited the Liloan, Cebu graveyard which was the Calero Memorial Foundation Cemetery to light a candle and offer prayers for my husband's grandparents' side.
Upon arrival, we found the place expansive, with streets filled with vehicles and people paying tribute to their loved ones with flowers and food- a cherished part of our Filipino tradition. The skies were clear and serene, e pleasant sight to behold.
Shortly after, my husband's cousins, aunts, uncles, and their children from his father's side arrived. They brought s feast for dinner, emphasizing the joy of families gathering together on this special day to remember loved ones.
In Tabogon, I also visited my grandparents' graveyard, though I forgot to mention it in my previous blog due to the rain hindering photo opportunities. Nevertheless, they are always in my heart and thoughts.
We remained there until 7:00 PM after we went home first.
As the clock kept ticking, November 2 arrived marking another visit to a graveyard. Early in the evening, we went to Manila Memorial Park - Liloan, Cebu to light a candle and offer a prayer for my husband's mother's father.
Upon arrival, the beautiful candlelights illuminated the entire area, accompanied by the buzz of people. It served as a poignant reminder of the unique and special love within families.
Following our time at the cemetery, we proceeded to Orosia Food Park in Consolacion, Cebu near PS Bank across from BPI Consolacion Branch, to share a meal for dinner.
Orosia Food Park impressed me with its spacious, and tidy ambiance. The menu highlighted authentic Filipino dishes perfectly suited to our taste. The restaurant already exuded a Christmas vibe, adorned with festive lights.
I convinced my husband to snap some photos of our food and well, here's the blurry result.
Our feast included the Pochero, Calamares, Lechon Kawali, Pancit Canton, and Tanghon.
All their food was mouthwatering.
Inside their restaurant, another captivating feature is the large size aquarium housing sizable fish. My husband knew the names, but unfortunately, I've forgotten. How about you Hivers? Any idea about their names? Feel free to drop your guesses in the comments section.
The annual celebration of All Saints Day and All Souls Day are among the most crucial events, signifying the profound importance of remembering our departed loved ones. It serves as a meaningful way to honor and dedicate moments to them, expressing our deep and genuine love despite their physical absence. These traditions also play a vital role in nurturing strong bonds with both immediate families and relatives.
Thatβs all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
