Have a blissful day Hivers! I hope you have.
I couldn’t contain my happiness last August 19, it was my cousin’s wedding day. It was mixed emotions of happiness, excitement, and perhaps a touch of nostalgia. Finally, she got married. After witnessing her biggest heartbreak way back then, she was able to find someone who was purely destined to be with the rest of her life. It was worth the wait for her. She’s in a good place now. So, let’s go to Tabogon – the wedding venue.
Going There
It took almost three hours of travel to go to Tabogon!. I'm with my partner and son. As expectations were set, it took a lot of strength and unlimited patience when traveling as a toddler. Hahaha! I'm sure every mom here can relate.
It was another family snaps full of love though. We arrived at half-past one. We were thirty minutes earlier than the time, giving us the chance to retouch ourselves.
The Nuptial At the Church
It is the San Isidro Labrador Parish Church in Tabogon. It is located in Poblacion, Tabogon, Cebu. As you can see, it is an old church but has a picturesque religious edifice that stands as a testament to various faiths being held inside. The place is surrounded by a tranquil atmosphere where we can contemplate and connect to our inner peace.
Inside the church are the wedding flowers elegantly adorning the center part of the church which create a captivating, enchanting, and affectionate ambiance for everyone who was attending the sacred ceremony, especially for the bride and the groom.
As these flowers bask in the lenient radiance of the church’s lighting, they not only intensify the visual appeal but also impacted an emotional resonance to the ceremony when the bride walked down the red aisle.
The expression was speechless. I got teary-eyed. ( grinning trying not to let tears out) Hahaha!
The nuptial ceremony began. As much as I wanted to take a sit and witnessed the entire sacred ceremony but I can’t. I forgot that we were with our little human who kept on insisting because he wanted to go out and play. (chuckled) So this was what happened.
We were strolling outside on the left side of the church on a vast plain Bermuda grass. And yes! He enjoyed it so much. He kept on running and running. We were also watching and chasing after him too and profusely sweating. Hays! Hahaha, A family day or a wedding day? I think both.
The struggle was real yet so ecstatic. When it started to drizzle, we put him inside the car and let him take a snack. Finally, we could take a break for a moment. (feeling relaxed)
As I went back inside the church to take some photos because I knew I missed some of the details, the ceremony was about to end. Moreover, this was the view. The newlywed's intimate thirty-second kiss. ( the audience chattered) Hihihi!
Long live the newlyweds!
The Reception at the Pasaol’s Beach Resort
It was a fifteen-minute travel from the church going to Pasaol Beach. The façade of the resort was decorated in a wedding setting. Guests were coming in, the entourage, the sponsors, the flower girls, and the little bearers were all set to begin the celebration ceremony. As we roamed around the beach, the area was not that enormous for big events yet so fit for a limited number of persons only. The entire place was not flat and had rocky terrain. It has nice rooms then and you could also put up tents outside.
It has one big pool good for children and adults.
The place is serene. It creates a peaceful and inviting space for relaxation and recreation. The overall view was so refreshing and healthy to the eyes because it was surrounded by green ornaments and plants.
Time to Eat
Needless to say, one of the highlights of the wedding program was the ‘eating time’. It was the good and tasty food that gave comfort to the guests. Regardless of any dish, if there is a lechon then I will go for the lechon-the skin lechon. I was so elated because there was. I was the first one to fall in line. ( Please don’t judge me) Hahaha! So crunchy and yummy, it quenched my cravings.
( mixed food with rice and viands, it has small pieces of skin lechon too)
We were full and ready to go! Hahaha Anyways we finished the program.
Certainly, true love can wait. It requires patience, self-awareness, willingness, and adaptability with each others’ comfort zone up until nurturing their relationship and bringing it to the altar of matrimony. Thus, this kind of celebration shouldn't be missed by the closest families and relatives for it is just once a lifetime experience for both the newlyweds. It's a feeling of pride and honor for the families. Our presence is high enough to celebrate the couple's love and commitment, so let’s support our families and relatives triumphs in life – whether small or big. It counts for them, for us, and for everyone.
That’s all for my blog today. My sincerest thanks for taking the time to read and support my blog, until next time. See you!
XOXO ~
