It’s practically become a tradition for us to go on little outings with our neighbors, so this time we decided on a getaway to El Tocuyo and Cubiro. We started the day by heading to El Tocuyo to pick up our cousin and, while we were at it, visit our paternal grandmother. It was a heartwarming stop—she was so happy to see us, meet our friends, and share some delicious catalinas tocuyanas with ice-cold sodas. We chatted for a while until it was time to leave.
From there, we went straight to Cubiro. Since it was already late, our first stop was a restaurant to eat some good cachapas—nothing better to recharge your energy! With happy stomachs, we then walked toward the hills. The most excited ones were definitely Max and Kyoto, ready to run free and enjoy the fresh air.
We headed down to the lower part of the hills, where we found the perfect shady spot to lay out our blankets, relax, and take tons of photos. Between games, walks, and gazing at the sky, the afternoon flew by. And just as the sun was starting to set, we knew the day couldn’t end without one last essential stop: strawberries and cream!
And that’s how we wrapped up another day filled with nature, good food, and even better company. Simple moments that truly warm the heart.

Ya se ha vuelto casi una tradiciĂłn salir con nuestros vecinos a pasear, asĂ que esta vez decidimos hacer una escapada hacia El Tocuyo y Cubiro. Comenzamos el dĂa yendo a El Tocuyo para buscar a nuestro primo y, de paso, visitar a nuestra abuela paterna. Fue una parada llena de cariño: se alegrĂł muchĂsimo al vernos, conocer a nuestros amigos y compartir con nosotros unas riquĂsimas catalinas tocuyanas acompañadas de refresco bien frĂo. Estuvimos conversando hasta que llegĂł la hora de irnos De ahĂ nos fuimos directo a Cubiro. Como ya era tarde, nuestra primera parada fue el restaurante para comer unas buenas cachapas —¡nada mejor para recargar energĂas!—. Luego, con el estĂłmago feliz, caminamos rumbo a las lomas. Los más emocionados eran, sin duda, Max y Kyoto, listos para correr libres y disfrutar del aire fresco. Nos dirigimos hacia la parte baja de las lomas, donde encontramos una sombra perfecta para extender nuestras sábanas, relajarnos y sacar muchas fotos. Entre juegos, caminatas y miradas al cielo, la tarde fue pasando sin darnos cuenta. Y justo cuando el sol comenzaba a esconderse, supimos que el dĂa no podĂa terminar sin una Ăşltima parada obligatoria: ¡las fresas con crema! Y asĂ cerramos otro dĂa lleno de naturaleza, buena comida y mejores compañĂas. Momentos simples, pero que llenan el corazĂłn.
