"Being a mother is a labor of love, and the weekends together with family and friends are a fully embrace that we get a love and enjoyment amidst of busyness."

The weekend is a welcome break from the grim hustle and bustle of the week, a time that most people eagerly awaited as an opportunity for relaxation and leisure together with our family and friends. However, for me, a student mother and wife, the weekend consists of a whole new set of responsibilities and tasks to be done before having a good time of enjoyment. Balancing the demands of school with the duties of being a mother and wife in the family requires a greatest strength, but one that I take on with love and determination.
As I wake up in weekend morning, I always cooked my son's favorite and preparing some other mouthwatering dishes for my family.

Everytime,I serve my son's favorite "Adobo" he always flash his cutie smile and it is really enough to energize me despite the tiredness from the week that was brought from the school. For me, cooking is an act of love, a way to comfort and care for those dearest to me especially to my family, and it's also one of a task that I loved.

After satisfying our hunger with an enjoyable meal, I take a moment to tend to the living things that bring a touch of nature into our home โ our plants. Each morning, I make it a habit to check on them, ensuring that they are healthy and alive. Watering them and picking the dried leaves that surrounds them, also basking their beauty is a soul-soothing activity that I always do.

Then comes the never-ending chore of laundry. With my youngest son in tow with me because he always cried everytime I was away from his sight, I carefully sort the dirty clothes, load them into the washing machine, and set them to cleanse while I carry out other tasks around the house.

Once it washed already, I hang the clothes to dry since it has a good weather, knowing that soon they will be clean, well-pressed,and ready to be worn.

Every weekend, my husband's friends will visit us and we always prepare a small salo-salo with delicious foods like "Sinugbang Baboy" (grilled pork) and "Scallops."

Evening comes, and it's time to relax a little bit before eating dinner. My baby sleeps for couple of minutes before eating. I ensure my son is sleeping comfortably,so that he can regain his energy. I then urges my husband to relax, after the hard work of the week, and to let him cuddle with our eldest son.

While he does so, I carefully fold and organize our clothes, creating a sanctuary of peace and organized, in our abode.

After a long and tough day, I was really happy and felt relaxed. Despite of busy routine behind me, I can finally take a moment to relax and enjoy some downtime with my youngest son. We cuddle and play, and in those precious moments, all of the busyness and tiredness I feel fades away. His giggles and innocent laughter are like a balm to my weary soul, rejuvenating me and reminding me of the incomparable joy that comes of having a family and being a mother. It's a tiring day, no doubt, but a day filled with love, care, and family. Being a mom is a full-time job, and the weekends are when I get to fully immerse myself in that role. It's a life of juggling responsibilities and embracing the joys with family, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
My Sweet Little One
After cuddling with my son, my mother-in-law called us for our boodle fight dinner together with my husband's newly arrived friends. The smell of "Sinugbang Tuloy," "Kinilaw na Tuloy," and "Lato" made our mouths water and fulfilled the hunger we felt.

The weekend may be a never-ending carousel of tasks and duties, and yes, it is undoubtedly tiring. Yet, it is in these moments that I find purpose and contentment. Each chore that was completed, each meal lovingly prepared, and every smile that was shared is evident to the immeasurable love and trueness I have for my family. The weekend may be a busy day, but it is a life filled with the boundless love and fulfillment that comes with the happy family and friends.
