Today, I want to open my heart and share a part of my life that many of us experience: the complexity of migration, especially during the festive season. My beloved mother, after spending the holiday season with me here in Colombia, has returned to Venezuela, and I want to reflect on the emotions and challenges that arise in this journey between distances and hugs.

Farewells are always tough, especially when it involves parting with loved ones, even if only temporarily.

Hoy quiero abrir mi corazón y compartir una parte de mi vida que muchos de nosotros experimentamos: la complejidad de la migración, especialmente durante las fechas festivas. Mi amada madre, después de pasar la temporada navideña conmigo aquí en Colombia, ha regresado a Venezuela, y quiero reflexionar sobre las emociones y desafíos que surgen en este viaje entre distancias y abrazos.
El Dolor de la Despedida:
La despedida siempre es difícil, y más aún cuando implica la separación de seres queridos, incluso si es temporal.

Por un lado, la alegría de compartir momentos especiales juntos, y por otro, la añoranza que persiste cuando uno de los seres queridos regresa a su lugar de origen.

Reflejaré sobre la resiliencia necesaria para atravesar los desafíos de la migración. Desde adaptarse a nuevas culturas hasta enfrentar la realidad de las distancias, la migración nos exige una fortaleza especial.
