Good evening hivers, how are you? I want to share a simple story about my sister’s birthday. It was not a big celebration, but it was one of those days that felt warm and happy because we spent it together as a family. Sometimes the best memories come from simple moments like eating out and enjoying each other’s company as if we're not cars and dog at home lol hahaha
My sister did not ask for anything fancy for her birthday. She just wanted to eat somewhere nice and spend time with us. So we all agreed to go out and celebrate her special day.
We decided to eat at Soul Restaurant Samgyup in SM Seaside. It was our first time eating there, and we were all excited because we heard that their food was very yummy. When we arrived, the place looked clean and bright. There were a lot of people enjoying their meals and you could smell the food cooking on the grills. The smell alone made us even more hungryyy. My sister smiled right away because she loves samgyup and it was the perfect choice for her birthday dinner.
Then when we sat down, the staff helped us with the preparations and brought plates of meat, side dishes, and sauces. Everything looked fresh and delicious. We started cooking the meat, and the sound of it sizzling made us all laugh because everyone wanted to taste it first. My sister was the happiest among us. She kept saying that this was exactly how she wanted to spend her birthday. Simple, relaxing, and full of food.
The meat was really yummy. Every piece was soft lol and full of flavor. We enjoyed wrapping the meat in lettuce, adding kimchi, rice, or sauce. Each bite tasted different depending on what we put inside, and that made the meal more fun. We talked about random things while cooking, and we shared stories that made us laugh. Even though it was just dinner, it felt special because we were all together. Moments like this do not happen often because everyone is busy, so we were happy to have this time.
While eating, we also took pictures. Pictures of the food, pictures of the table, and of course a lot of pictures of my sister. She looked really happy. Sometimes you do not need a party or a big event to make someone feel loved. Just spending time with family can already make a birthday meaningful. We talked about funny memories from the past and plans for the coming months. It felt nice to just sit and enjoy the conversation without rushing.
The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. The lights were warm and the place felt comfortable. It made our dinner feel even more relaxing. We stayed for a while, making sure we tried everything. The side dishes were tasty and the service was good. We kept on cooking until we were all full. At one point, we joked that we could not eat another bite, but then someone cooked another piece of meat and we ended up eating again. That is one thing about samgyup. You say you are full but you still keep eating.
After finishing our meal, we sat for a few minutes to rest before standing up. We looked at my sister and told her happy birthday again. She said she was thankful for the dinner and for the time we gave her. It was a simple celebration, but it was exactly what she wanted. We took one last photo before leaving the restaurant. A family picture to remember the day.
Walking around SM Seaside after eating also felt nice. The mall was lively and the evening felt calm. We did not do anything fancy. We just walked together, talked, and enjoyed the moment. Sometimes the simplest things can make a day feel complete.
Then also when we got home, my sister opened a small cake we bought earlier (was not able to capture this). We sang happy birthday and she made a wish. It was a quiet ending to a happy day. I think the best part was not the food or the mall. It was the time we spent together. Birthdays do not always need grand plans. Sometimes all you need is family, a nice meal, and moments that make you feel thankful.
This day her birthday, it was a simple but beautiful celebration. My sister was happy, we enjoyed yummy food at Soul Restaurant Samgyup, and we had a nice family night out. Days like this remind me how important family time is. Simple, warm, and full of love. 🥰🙏🏻
