After lunch, my coworkers decided to go hiking or walking in Sm Cebu City, and as we arrived, one friend suggested we go bowling at Bowling Center. I was curious because it was my first time playing that sport, so I didn't hesitate to accept his invitation to play, and my coworkers did as well.
The bowling center is located on the third floor of Sm Cebu City. When we arrived, we went straight to the cashier to inquire about the price; they have 199 pesos per person and rent a lane for 599 pesos for one hour, which is limited to six people. We'll make it quickly because our time is limited because it's our lunch break and we have to return to the office at 1 p.m. We chose 599 pesos per hour, but we also needed to rent a bowling shoe for 50 pesos per hour, but don't worry about size because they have various sizes of shoes to fit you and allow you to play comfortably.
So we go to our playing lane, and the staff enter the players into the monitor. We will play 10 rounds, with two tries every round. As I tried to acquire the bowling ball, I was astonished by how heavy it was; I believe or estimate it to be 4 to 6 kilograms. As I look for the bowling pins, my goal is to strike it all on at least one try for all ten rounds, and I will be satisfied and happy.
I did not hit any bowling pins on my first attempt, but I am not discouraged because it was my first time and I already knew the technique. Then, at the third round of the game, I finally strike all of the bowling pins with only one attempt.
While the game is going on, we are having fun bowling. The fact that the scores on the monitor are so close brings out the competitiveness in each of us; even though we are coworkers, we are striving to beat each other and determine who wins after the tenth round.
After the game, I finished fourth with only 88 points for all ten rounds, but the experience was priceless; I never imagined that this game would be so fun and enjoyable to play. We had some laughter and healthy competition, and the event will be remembered for a lifetime.
Then we finish playing at 1:07 p.m., and we have to rush back to the office because we are all already late. Back to Reality, Back To Work! 😅
Overall, bowling with friends is a great opportunity to spend quality time, have some friendly competition, and possibly get some exercise in a relaxed and entertaining setting.
