Cumpleaños de nuestra compañera Claudia [Esp/Eng]

Hola, ¿qué tal, amigos, cómo están? Espero que se encuentren superbién; por aquí muy bien, gracias a Dios.

Hoy mi día fue movido desde temprano porque era el cumpleaños de una compañera de trabajo y la verdad se complico un poco porque nosotros habíamos organizado lo siguiente armar todo el lunes en cuanto a decoración y hoy solo llegar a colocar los regalos cosa que no paso asi porque entre una cosa y otra la persona que trajo los globos que era mi jefa no me los pudo llevar a tiempo asi que toco hoy sacrificarse y irse antes de la hora para que nuestra compañera cuando llegara consiguiera todo listo.

Today was a bit hectic from the start because it was a colleague’s birthday, and to be honest, things got a bit complicated because we’d planned to sort out all the decorations on Monday and just pop in today to put out the presents. That didn’t quite work out, though, because between one thing and another, the person who was bringing the balloons – my boss – couldn’t get them to me on time, so I had to make a sacrifice today and leave early so that our colleague would find everything ready when she arrived.

Aprovecho la oportunidad para decir que de verdad no le tenía mucha fe al set de globos que trajo la jefa porque siempre dice que trae tantas cosas y realmente siempre vienen incompletos estos sets. La cuestión es que me sorprendió demasiado que el paquete valiera la pena; realmente todo lo que decía en su portada lo tenía, por un valor de 9 $ en mango bajito. Además de eso, trae su propia cinta para armar y los arcos; sin ser expertos, quedan superbellos; allí lo pueden apreciar.

Cuando nuestra compañera llegó, ni se lo esperaba. Fíjense que yo ni la había felicitado para que no sospechara nada, jajajajaja, pero lo curioso del caso es que en la mañana teníamos primero una torta, luego trajo otra uno de los jefes, pero eso no es todo: después de cantar cumpleaños y que los jefes se fueran, llegaron dos tortas más y hasta con pasapalos y mucho más grandes, jajajajajaja.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say that I really didn’t have much faith in the balloon set the boss brought in, because she always says she’s bringing so many things, yet these sets always turn out to be incomplete. The thing is, I was really surprised that the pack was actually worth it; it really did contain everything listed on the front, worth a good $9. On top of that, it comes with its own tape for putting it together and the arches; even without being experts, they look absolutely lovely; you can see that there.

When our colleague arrived, she wasn’t expecting it at all. Mind you, I hadn’t even wished her a happy birthday so she wouldn’t suspect a thing, hahahaha, but the funny thing is that in the morning we had a cake first, then one of the bosses brought another one, but that’s not all: after we’d sung ‘Happy Birthday’ and the bosses had left, two more cakes arrived, complete with cake stands and much bigger ones, hahahahaha.

Les puedo decir que hoy nos hacen un examen de azúcar y salimos todos raspados de tanta que comimos hoy; es una locura, la verdad, jajajaja. Pasamos un rato bastante agradable; lo que más me gustó, el set de globos, además de los regalos, y lo menos, levantarme temprano, jajajajaja. ¡Saludos, amigos!

I can tell you that we’re having a sugar and salt test today, and we’ve all failed because of all the sweets we’ve eaten today; it’s mad, to be honest, ha ha ha. We had a really nice time; what I liked best was the balloon display, as well as the presents, and what I liked least was getting up early, ha ha ha ha. Cheers, mates!
