Today farm work was really hectic and stressful for me because I'm so tired and exhausted. My family and I went to the farm for the harvesting our guinea corn. Two weeks ago Our neighbor's farm produces has been eaten and destroyed by unknown heard men cattle. Yesterday they came and told us they went to the farm and noticed part of their farm guinea acorn has been eaten by cows. So we decided to harvest ours even though we didn't planned to harvest it today. We were happy and excited the guinea cord has yielded a good heads, it brings out good and big produces.
My sisters will press the guineacord and break it down while my brothers and I will be cutting it using sharp knife.
We will be following the guinea cord line by line and been cutting carefully and focusing on the produces in order not to jump some or miss some of the guinea cord in the farm.
These are two of my sisters, after they were done with breaking the guinea cord, they came and join us in cutting the edge or heads of the guinea cord. They are basically one of the persons who helped us and we could finished the work on time. And while cutting the guinea cord, you make sure your knife is sharp and very careful if not you can cut your hand or end up cutting yourself.
The sun was so much and high today while we were working in the farm today. The sun was heating on my head and I had no choice than to look for a tree shield and sit down for some minutes to relax my head away from the sun . When cutting the guinea cord, you will gather them in a particular place and look for a rope and tide them up very well.
My mother brought us water but before I noticed the water got finished before I could even asked for a drink. The sun was so tense on my face to an extent my eyes turned red because of how exhausted I was while working in the farm.
Working in the farm was so hectic for me, there's no water to drink and the sun was tense hitting me on my head. I was so tired yet I got to work along with the other people that came to farm together.
After we were done cutting the guinea cord, we tight it well and our sisters came and carried it home and dropped them in the stored at home.
This is our local store at home where we keeps our farm produces that has been harvested from the farm and keep in the store. When I got home, the whole of my body was paining, especially my two hands and my temperature was high due to long staying in the sun while working in the farm.
We were lucky we couldn't encounter any danger while working in the farm, like seeing snake, and other poisonous thing in the farm and also not having challenge fighting with hewrdnemen over farm issue. We started and finished well without gotten any injuries in the farm. We appreciate God for safety and protection over our lives. To His name be glorify.
