My prayers have finally been answered!😊🍻
My home is located in a prime spot in the city; we’re surrounded by a prestigious university with hundreds of students. We also have restaurants and cars, which means we see people on our streets all the time.
However, all this bustle lasts only until 6:00 p.m.; after that, we had two options: either we stayed home early or we went to other cities to have fun or find what we needed at night.
¡Por fin mis súplicas fueron escuchadas! Mi hogar está situado en un lugar estratégico de la ciudad; nosotros estamos rodeados de una universidad prestigiosa, con cientos de estudiantes. También tenemos negocios de comida y vehículos que nos permiten ver personas a cada rato por nuestras calles. Sin embargo, toda esta abundancia es hasta las 6:00 p. m.; después de esta hora, nosotros teníamos dos opciones: o nos encerramos en casa desde temprano o salimos a ciudades foráneas para poder divertirnos o encontrar lo que necesitamos en la noche.
THAT'S OVER! During Holy Week, a place called “LA TASQUITA” opened up to save our boring nights and turn them into wonderful memories.
I saw the sign, told my neighbor about it, and that night we went to check it out. The owner greeted us, taking advantage of the fact that there weren't many people there since it was still new.
He told us about his story and his plans for the place. He told us that his establishment would be open Monday through Monday starting in the morning, serving breakfast and lunch. Starting at noon, he can serve alcoholic beverages, and the place stays open late into the night.
¡ESO SE ACABÓ! En Semana Santa abrieron un lugar llamado "LA TASQUITA" para venir a rescatar nuestras noches aburridas y convertirlas en recuerdos maravillosos. Yo vi el letrero, le dije a mi vecina y esa noche fuimos a preguntar cómo era el asunto. El dueño nos atendió, aprovechando que no había muchas personas porque todavía estaba nuevo. Nos estuvo contando de su historia y de los planes que tenía para el sitio. Allí nos dijo que su local iba a estar abierto de lunes a lunes desde la mañana, para ofrecer desayunos y almuerzos. A partir del mediodía, puede ofrecer bebidas alcohólicas y su funcionamiento puede llegar hasta altas horas de la noche.
What I liked best was the promise of serving food like pizza, chicken, and burgers—which are essential for me on weekends when I run out of meal options and have to order delivery to satisfy my late-night cravings 😊.
My neighbor had a birthday the following week, and it was the perfect excuse to go celebrate at La Tasquita.
We were surprised that, even though there were only three full tables there, that night there were groups of seven people at a single table, and they had to set up a table for us because everything was full.
I was really happy because many people agree with me that they’ve created the perfect spot to hang out, where the prices are reasonable, the music is great, the place is beautiful, and there are several rooms. Plus, you can celebrate birthdays or just go with friends to hang out.
Lo que más me gustó fue la promesa de colocar comida como pizza, pollo y hamburguesas que para mí son esenciales los fines de semana cuando se me acaban las opciones de comida y tengo que conseguir un delivery para mis antojos de noche 😊. Mi vecina estuvo de cumpleaños la semana siguiente y fue el motivo indóneo para ir a celebrarlo en La Tasquita. Nos sorprendió que ese sitio donde estaban tres mesas llenas, esa noche estuvieran grupos de 7 personas en una sola mesa y nos tuvieron que habilitar una mesa porque todo estaba full. Me sentí muy feliz porque muchas personas coinciden conmigo en que abrieron un espacio idoneo para ir a compartir, donde los precios son solidarios, tiene un excelente ambiente musical, el lugar es muy bonito y con varias salas. Además, puedes celebrar cumpleaños o simplemente ir con amigos a pasar el rato.
Every time we’ve been there, there’s always a special event going on: the first time, they were celebrating an engagement—WOW! Thank goodness the girl said yes 😉. The second time, they were celebrating a baptism, and people are always coming in to celebrate their special moments.
The only thing they need to improve is the air conditioning because it’s way too cold, and when you’re drinking alcohol, you end up needing to use the restroom more often.
On the other hand, we’re still waiting for the food service they promised—it’s so necessary when we want to share and then eat something tasty. I hope they can get it up and running soon.
Las veces que hemos ido siempre hay un evento especial: la primera vez, se celebró una pedida de matrimonio ¡GUAO! Menos mal la chica dijo que sí 😉. La segunda, celebraron un bautizo y siempre están llegando personas a celebrar su momento especial. Lo único que deben mejorar es la refigeración porque hace excesivamente demasiado frío y consumiendo licor, dan ganas de usar el baño más frecuentemente. Por otro lado, nos hemos quedado con las ganas del servicio de comida tan prometido y tan necesario cuando queremos compartir y luego comer algo sabroso. Espero pronto puedan habilitarlo.
We’ve heard that the party there goes on until dawn, but my neighbor and I only stayed until 9:00 p.m. because after that it turns into a nightclub and the vibe shifts toward people who want to party until morning; I’m past that stage now and just focus on having a good time, singing a bit at karaoke, and then heading home.
Maybe on a special occasion I’ll stick around and let you know how it went 😉.
Nos han contado que la fiesta allí se extiende hasta el amanecer, pero mi vecina y yo solo hemos ido hasta las 9:00 p. m. porque ya después se vuelve tipo discoteca y el ambiente se hace para esas personas que quieren una fiesta hasta la mañana; ya yo pasé por esa etapa y solo me concentro en pasarla bien, cantar un rato en el karaoke y luego venirme a casa. Quizás en alguna ocasión especial me quede y les pueda contar como me fue 😉.
