I don't know if in your childhood birthdays were ostentatious, big, with 40 guests and always "if I invite Martha, I have to invite Patricia because otherwise who can put up with them" and things like that. Birthdays are full of preparations, party rentals, music, snacks, drinks, decorations, and unbearable hours of "give me water", "I need the bathroom", "I want more soda" and things like that that, let's be honest, don't allow us to enjoy the parties as they are.
I also think that these are stages that we go through because in adolescence it doesn't matter much what's on the outside but inviting lots of friends and acquaintances so that the next day everyone will talk about "the best party of the year" and prepare for the next special occasion.
I think that in adulthood we begin to value the intimate, the private and what is really important is that we all enjoy the moment. On my sister-in-law's birthday I understood that because that day I decided to make her a small strawberry cake* (it is a flavoured soft drink here in my country and the cake is very tasty), a cherry jelly to go with the cake and I completed the decoration with chocolates and almonds.
My sister-in-law was encouraged on her part and bought a sweet bread (very tasty by the way), to which we put a candle; she also bought some balloons, streamers and of course the refreshing drinks that could not be missing 🍻🍻.
That day it rained a lot but it didn't stop us from playing good music, taking pictures and having fun singing and talking for a while.
Who were the guests? Her and her daughter, my mother, my brother and me, ONLY 5! And there were enough of us to have a fun, sharing time that will always remain in our memories. It was the first time we shared her birthday with her, and she enjoyed it very much.
I remembered by the way, the pictures of famous people like the footballers Ronaldo or Messi that when they celebrate their birthday they just smile with their family and a little cake, while we are looking for the best to buy the best for the photo that will immortalize the moment and everyone will talk about them for a long time. What a crazy world we have! But that's how we are and that's how we understand each other.
The best thing about the evening was that there was cake and soft drink left over so that the next day we could repeat the dish which I have to say everyone liked.
*To make the cake, I looked for a recipe on the internet because I don't like to leave everything to chance and what a marvel that the first recipe that came to me was from a friend of the extinct platform, but that means the presence of our talent in the networks which pleased me a lot. I like this because maybe others don't know it but we know the effort we put into our publications so that they are appreciated by everyone in the world. This is the Post

No sé si en sus tiempos los cumpleaños de su niñez eran ostentosos, grandes, con 40 invitados y siempre " si invito a martha, tengo que invitar a Patricia porque sino quien las aguanta" y cosas así. Los cumpleaños estan llenos de preparativos, alquileres de festejos, música, refrigerios, bebidas, decoraciones, y horas incanzables de "dame agua", "necesito el baño", "quiero mas refresco" y cosas asi que seamos sinceros, no permiten disfrutar las fiestas tal y como son.
Considero también que esas son etapas que vamos pasando porque en la adolescencia no importa mucho lo exterior pero si invitar a muchos amigos y conocidos para que el día siguiente todos hablen de "la mejor fiesta del año" y así prepararse para una siguiente ocasión especial.
Pienso que en la edad adulta comenzamos a valorar lo íntimo, lo privado y lo que verdaderamente vale que es que todos disfrutemos el momento. En el cumpleaños de mi cuñada comprendí eso porque ese día me animé a hacerle una torta pequeña de frescolita* (es un refresco de sabor aquí en mi país y la torta queda muy sabrosa), una gelatina de cereza para acompañar el ponqué y completé la decoración con chocolates y almendras.

Mi cuñada se animó por su parte y compró un pan dulce (muy sabroso por cierto), al cual le colocamos una vela; además, ella compró unos globos, serpentinas y por supuesto las refrescantes bebidas que no podían faltar 🍻🍻.
Ese día llovió mucho pero no fue impedimento para poner una buena música, tomarnos fotos y divertirnos un rato cantando y hablando.
¿Quienés eran los invitados? Ella y su hija, mi madre, hermano y yo ¡SOLO 5! Y fuimos suficientes para pasar un rato divertido, compartiendo y que siempre quedará en nuestras memorias. Es primera vez que compartimos su cumpleaños con ella, y los disfrutó muchisimo.
Recordé por cierto, las fotografías de personas famosas como los Futbolistas Ronaldo o Messi que cuando cumplen año solo sonríen con su familia y una pequeña torta, mientras nosotros estamos buscando lucir y comprar lo mejor para la foto que inmortalizará el momento y todos hablarían de ellos por largo tiempo ¡Que mundo tan loco tenemos! Pero así somos y así nos entendemos.
Lo mejor de la noche fue que sobró torta y refresco así que el día siguiente pudimos repetir el platillo que por cierto tengo que decir que a todos les gustó.
*Para hacer la torta, busqué una receta en internet porque no me gusta dejar todo al azar y que maravilla que la primera receta que me salió fue de un amigo de la extinta plataforma, pero que significa la presencia de nuestro talento en las redes lo que me agradó bastante. Esto me gusta porque quizás otros no lo sepan pero nosotros sabemos el esfuerzo que le ponemos a nuestras publicaciones para que sean apreciadas por todos en el mundo. Esta es la Publicación
