Saludos y bendiciones para todos, enero esta por terminar y como todos saben enero es el mes que marca el inicio de un nuevo año, por lo que el mes de enero lo consideramos como el mes de las primicias, así que tratamos de ofrecer al Señor todo lo que implica lo primero de este año relacionado con todo lo que realizamos en nuestra comunidad de fe.

En enero realizamos nuestro primer servicio del año, nuestra primera vigilia del año, nuestro primer ayuno del año y así sucesivamente, hasta llegar al cierre de nuestras primicias, lo que denominamos fiesta de primicias donde hacemos un acto simbólico en el que los miembros de nuestra comunidad traen frutas, verduras, víveres como primeros frutos a nuestro Señor.

Como pudieron notar en el párrafo anterior escribí ACTO SIMBOLICO, ya que de eso se trata, esto no tiene nada que ver con las fiestas judías o con alguna ley, se trata de un acto que nace en nuestros corazones y que hacemos desde hace varios años, así que este año no fue la excepción.

Nuestro cierre de primicias fue el pasado domingo 25 de enero, como ya es costumbre hacerlo cada ultimo domingo de enero, y fue una actividad cargada de emotividad, de mucho significado y fortalecimiento de nuestra fe según la vivimos.

Fue una Reunión marcada por la gratitud y la esperanza de un buen año, donde no solo agradecemos a nuestro Señor por el inicio de un nuevo año, sino que también ofrecemos nuestro nuevo año a nuestro Señor para que el nos guíe, nos oriente, nos guarde y proteja todo el resto de año.

La actividad fluyo sin mucha planificación y protocolo, fue algo espontaneo, solo pedimos a los hermanos que trajeran algo que representara su productividad, su fructificación y cada uno fue trayendo como propuso en su corazón según lo que establece la escritura, y así se fue llenando la mesa con fruta, verduras y víveres.

Tuvimos un expositor encargado de compartir la palabra, yo solo tome parte al final para orar y pedir a Dios por las familias que estaban presentes, y por todas las que nuestro Señor les había permitido traer algo a la mesa para compartir, como una muestra de reconocimiento a nuestro Señor.

Luego de orar juntos por la ofrenda, de pedir a Dios por este nuevo año, hicimos lo que hacemos cada año, toda la ofrenda que se trajo a la mesa se distribuyo entre las familias reunidas aquella mañana en lo que constituyó un acto de unidad y de ayuda al prójimo, ya que cada familia recibe algo de la mesa, sea mucho o poco lo mas importante es el gesto de compartir unos con otros.

Así, de esta manera cerramos nuestro tiempo de primicias con mucha alegría, sonrisas y mucho optimismo en relación al año 2026, creyendo que vienen tiempos mejores para nuestra amada Venezuela y para nuestra comunidad de fe, así que les deseamos a todos que este año que acaba de comenzar sea muy bendecido y productivo para todos ustedes.

We consider January to be the month of first fruits, so we try to offer the Lord everything that is first in this year in relation to everything we do in our community of faith.

In January, we hold our first service of the year, our first vigil of the year, our first fast of the year, and so on, until we reach the closing of our first fruits, which we call the feast of first fruits, where we perform a symbolic act in which the members of our community bring fruits, vegetables, and food as first fruits to our Lord.

As you may have noticed in the previous paragraph, I wrote SYMBOLIC ACT, because that is what it is. This has nothing to do with Jewish holidays or any law; it is an act that comes from our hearts and that we have been doing for several years, so this year was no exception.

Our closing ceremony for the harvest was last Sunday, January 25, as is customary on the last Sunday of January, and it was an event filled with emotion, great significance, and a strengthening of our faith as we live it.

It was a gathering marked by gratitude and hope for a good year, where we not only thank our Lord for the beginning of a new year, but also offer our new year to our Lord so that He may guide us, direct us, keep us, and protect us for the rest of the year.

The activity flowed without much planning or protocol; it was spontaneous. We simply asked the brothers to bring something that represented their productivity, their fruitfulness, and each one brought what was in their heart according to what Scripture establishes. And so the table was filled with fruit, vegetables, and food.

We had a speaker who shared the Word, and I only participated at the end to pray and ask God to bless the families who were present, and all those whom our Lord had allowed to bring something to the table to share, as a sign of gratitude to our Lord.

After praying together for the offering and asking God for blessings in the new year, we did what we do every year: all the offerings brought to the table were distributed among the families gathered that morning in an act of unity and neighborly love, as each family received something from the table. Whether it was a lot or a little, the most important thing was the gesture of sharing with one another.

Thus, we conclude our time of first fruits with great joy, smiles, and much optimism for the year 2026, believing that better times are ahead for our beloved Venezuela and for our community of faith. We wish you all a blessed and productive year ahead.
