Sharing with family is something I remained excluded from for a long time because of the pandemic. The deadly virus was very close to home so I stayed indoors for the long 3 years that the disease was most entrenched.
Now the time has come when it is a little less strong but the virus still roams the streets, as reflected in our hospitals and the personal stories of some neighbors.
Today I'm going to tell you that my niece has invited me to go on a trip to a house that has a swimming pool and a place to celebrate birthdays or any other festivities. So even though my son can't go out because he has to work all day I will go to my celebration.
They came for me at 9 am and we arrived at the site at 11 am since my niece had to do other activities along the way.
We got there and some other nieces and nephews arrived earlier. The house has a pool that looks small from the outside but from the inside you can notice the depth, it covers me up to my neck.
The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. The celebration was to celebrate the 3 birthday of the youngest niece of the family. Her costume is an allegory to the little mermaid. She looked very cute in her little costume. She enjoyed her happy day.
There were places set up to eat lunch, enjoy some delicious treats, and later a piñata for young and old. There was also a dance for adults.
The two little girls hit the piñata and then told me to hit it and I did. A hole quickly opened up and the candy shot out all over the place I even picked up the falling candy with my dress.
Then in the evening the adult dancing started and I joined in but my body is not used to so much dancing so in the evening I had to pay for my agitated dancing with a lot of pain from my toes to the tips of my hair.
We had a great day of relaxation, sharing, and being with family. It was the most rewarding thing I have had since the pandemic established its power around our homes.
Thank God this deadly virus is now in retreat and God willing it will go away completely never to return.
And the end of the day came, we are all ready to retire, the pool is now from another view, it is lovely at night.
I arrived home at night, my son had already gone to bed because he was so tired from the 8-hour online customer service job.
I can now thank God that we are all well and back in our little homes.
I thank this beautiful community of family and friends for giving me the opportunity to tell the story of my niece's birthday celebration and share with my family on this day.
