Blessings come in ways we least expect. There are a lot of things we need to be thankful about. As I grew older, I learned to appreciate all the little things around me as long as it gives me peace of mind.
On my previous blog, I wrote about our car blessing. Now, I will write about our small celebration after we went to the church.
We decided to have a small celebratory lunch at Maravillosa Public Beach in Tabuelan, Cebu.
Here are the foods we prepared.
We bought some cake and wrote a dedication which stated how we welcomed our new car to our family, our Baby Blu.
We also ordered one pan of spaghetti from Jollibee. We just had a drive thru and bought one pan of spaghetti since I really wanted to eat spaghetti but we do not have the time and energy to cook it.
We also dropped by "Tatay Luy's" in Tuburan to buy some roasted chicken and grilled pork liempo. The store is a famous stall in Tuburan that sells roasted chicken and grilled pork liempo.
Lechon Manok in Cebuano, or roasted chicken has always been a staple whenever having eat outs and food gatherings since it is very convenient and easy to prepare since we just buy it in grilling stalls.
Since we wanted to have a hassle-free dinner, we bought foods that are ready to eat and does not require us to grill. We also bought some grilled pork liempo or grilled pork belly.
We also bought a dozen of JCO Doughnuts. This is our favorite doughnut brand and we got ourselves a dozen to have it as our dessert.
We also bought some sea urchins. We love to eat sea urchins mixed with vinegar. It is a delicious seafood and we love it eaten at the beach where it is convenient to clean it.
We also invited some friends over to join us for our celebratory lunch.
After having lunch, we then swam and my son rented this kayak for 250.00 per hour.
MARAVILLOSA BEACH - BRGY.MARAVILLA, TABUELAN, CEBU, PHILIPPINES
My boys and our dog, Uno had so much fun paddling around the entire time we rented it. The water is pristine and the sand is so fine. I previously wrote a separate blog about Maravillosa Beach which you might want to check out.
After we swam, we had karaoke as we brought our own speaker and microphone and we drank some beer. It was so much fun indeed.
Maravillosa Beach is also pet friendly so we bought our dogs, Vanilla the white one which is my cousin's dog and Uno the black one which is our dog. They both had so much fun.
I am happy I was able to host this celebratory lunch for some of our friends as we welcome our newly blessed car. I am indeed grateful for all the blessings we received all year long. Life itself is indeed already a blessing.
To more blessings to come! Ciao!🫶🏻
