It is of pure bliss and happiness to be able to witness and celebrate the legality of one of my learner, under my class advisory. She invited us to join her as she celebrates her 18th birthday.
The venue of her birthday is in her home which is in a nearby brgy.as to where we are currently living now therefore it is very convenient for us to head towards their home.
When we arrived, it was about to begin but before the program started, we just took some photos.
THE DEBUTANT'S ADORABLE BLUE-THEMED BIRTHDAY CAKE. The theme of her party is color blue and just look at how beautiful her birthday cake is.
BIRTHDAY GIRL. I am so proud and happy to see my beautiful learner, under my class advisory, certainly one of the honor students I have in my class, as hardworking and diligent as all her other classmates, dressed beautifully on her blue cocktail dress.
MY LITTLE FAMILY. The birthday celebrant invited them also since we have been real-life friends and not just at school, we took some photos with her and of course, we all wore blue.
To tell you honestly, whenever I get invited to places where it is just me, I will really get uncomfortable because I am just used to bringing these two with me. Luckily, I haven't experienced that though, because they know, when they invite me, it is a total package. I really do not want to go places where my little family is not welcome. But of course, I haven't experienced that, I am just over-thinking. (Hahaha)
TIME FOR DINNER. We had a separate table which in picture with me is this lovely woman, who is also a teacher, my colleague at Tuburan National High School and the debutant's little sister is her student also.
My most favorite part about this dinner aside from the crispy lechon skin is the "Tinibuuk nga Bisayang Manok" or Whole Native Chicken Soup they prepared for us.
Back when I was younger, at our homes, the whole native chicken soup is normally intended if we are expecting a priest as a guest, those who just finished the fiesta mass, or only for this whom they consider a vip or very important person. Which I really did not understood back then as to what were the basis of being considered as a "vip". Hahaha. It really was not a big deal not until I realized it by myself.
I was able to finally experience that I am the one being served by this special Filipino delicacy and you will not be seeing it in the center table where all the other visitors get their food. I feel so pampered and appreciated. Thank you so much to the birthday celebrant and her family who prepared the delicious meals.
After dinner time, it was now time for the program. She had 18 Roses, 18 Candles and 18 Shots. These are some debut program ideas that we are practicing here in the Philippines.
Here are some snippets of the 18 Roses or the 18 Flowers the debutant had. These are to be given by men closest to her heart, such as her father, her brothers, her uncles, her male cousins and male closefriends.
Then, they proceeded with the 18 Candles and then the same people were also the 18 shots.
After the 18 Roses, 18 Candles and 18 Shots, the birthday celebrant then said her birthday wishes and blew her birthday candle.
Since the girls did not drank the coconut wine or the tuba, my partner drank it and I was so curious about how it tasted and it was really sweet and refreshing, it was freshly harvested.
The program was about to end so we gathered around with all my learners, under my class advisory who were invited also for us to take a group photo.
We all enjoyed the night and we were all so happy we get to witness Joji Ann celebrate her legality. To good health and success! Ciao!♡
