Hello there Hivers!!! How u doing lately? I hope you're doing well. Today's blog i'm excited to share with you our moments harvesting peanuts.
As I had mentioned in my earlier blog, my grandmother's big farm had a variety of plants, with, of course, my favorite one peanuts! I simply love eating peanuts, but the problem is if I eat too many ends up giving me pimples.
These cute little nieces of mine really do enjoy the harvesting. Standing behind him is our neighbor who was helping with harvesting. He accompanied along with his mother. These little boys were not complaining, instead, they were happy pulling the peanuts from the ground.
It was indeed a wonderful afternoon for harvesting peanuts, not hot but with a really cooling breeze. Harvesting peanuts would be great if when the leaves just begin to turn yellow.
The secret to having a healthy peanut you have to plant in dry soil, water them everyday and control the grass and of course make sure that they get enough sunlight.
When we were harvesting, he asked me if we could take a selfie on my grandma's phone. How could I say no? His smile just melted my heart!
I find myself happy when I see this adorable dog of my grandma. The dog was a gift from her son, and he was a well trained and obedient dog. He never barks at us and always listens to my grandma.
My niece and her brothers had arrived to help us in the harvesting, along with their mother. My niece asked me if he could take a photo with me, and of course, I said yes.
The picture turned out great, but the problem is my face Hahaha. I put on a cap because I thought the sun would really be harsh, but not.
Harvesting peanuts with my family was really fun. It gave me some insight into how precious farm life is seeing where food comes from.
