Hi everyone, one positive thing about these power outages is that they definitely suggest new plans, and you can take advantage of the time to do things you'd normally do for something else. Lately, though, I've been getting together more often with my sister's friends, whom I've been gradually integrating into. A few days ago, we had another get-together to chat, laugh, cook together, and have a good time, so today I'll share a little bit about it.
Hola a todos, algo positivo de este tema de las idas de luz es que sin duda los planes sugieren y se puede aprovechar para realizar actividades que normalmente haríamos con alguna otra cosa. Sin embargo, últimamente me he estado animando a reunirme un poco más seguido con los amigos de mi hermana, a los que poco a poco me he estado integrando, y hace unos días volvimos a hacer una reunión para charlar, reírnos, cocinar juntos y pasar un rato agradable, por lo que hoy les compartiré un poco sobre ello.
This time, it wasn't just the same group as last time; there was one more person who was sorely missed: the girlfriend of one of the guys we love dearly. I hadn't been able to be there when she was sometimes there because I'd get too sleepy; however, this time it finally happened. She had the flu and a fever, which she'd been getting lately because of the rain. After buying some ice cream, at their request, we set off, and once we were there, we started joking around in one of the bedrooms. There was a huge computer, and while one of them was playing games, we were like little kids staring at the graphics, until the power came on and we got to work helping with lunch.
Para esto no solo estábamos los de la última vez, sino que había un integrante más que ya hacía falta y era la novia de uno de los chicos a quien queremos mucho. Yo no había podido estar como tal cuando ella estaba a veces porque me ganaba el sueño de ir; sin embargo, en esta ocasión sí se dio. Ella estaba con malestar de gripe y fiebre, cosa que ha estado dando últimamente por el tema lluvia. Una vez comprados unos helados, por encargo de ellos, nos dispusimos a ir y, estando allá, primero que todo estuvimos haciendo bromas en lo que era una de las habitaciones. Estaba un computador muy grande y, mientras uno jugaba, nosotros parecíamos niños chiquitos viendo los gráficos, hasta que la luz atacó y nos pusimos manos a la obra a ayudar con el almuerzo.
The plan was rice, chicken, plantain slices, and arepas, and the girl had already started with the fried arepas, although we kept sneaking a few whenever we couldn't find the time. While one of the guys chopped the seasonings—onions, peppers, and garlic—I chopped the chicken, and we listened to some really fun music. At one point, we thought about making chicken and rice, but we got distracted with the stew, and it ended up separate and unusable. So, once everything was ready, we sent the host to get some soda and enjoyed the meal, which, thanks to the cumin we found rummaging through a drawer, had a really nice spicy kick.
El plan era arroz, pollo, tajadas y arepas, y ya la chica había comenzado por las arepas fritas, aunque a cada descuido nos comíamos alguna. Mientras uno de los muchachos picaba los aliños, que eran cebolla, ajíes y ajos, yo picaba el pollo y escuchábamos música muy divertida. En un momento pensamos hacer arroz con pollo, pero nos descuidamos con el guiso y quedó separado y descartado, así que una vez estuvo todo listo, mandamos al dueño de la casa por el refresco y disfrutamos de la comida que, como le agregamos comino que conseguimos revisando un cajón, le dio un toque picante muy bueno.
There was no shortage of laughter, as amidst the jokes, a dress and a crazy idea emerged, which the boys then tried on, creating a hilarious moment. One of them couldn't get it to close because of the dress, while the other fit like it had been custom-made. It was truly funny, since I had initially suggested a robe, but the dress idea was more than perfect; we even joked about the missing fishnet stockings. After that, we stayed up watching videos and chatting about everything, even playing some Call of Duty Mobile, though I already mentioned that in another post. Finally, everyone went home, and in my case, I went to buy food for the kittens first to end the day on a high note. So, I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you so much for reading.
Algo que no faltó fueron las risas, ya que entre bromas salió un vestido y una idea muy alocada, por lo que rato después a los chicos se les usó esto, siendo un momento de risas. A uno de ellos no se le cerraba por el tema del hecho y al otro le quedaba como si se lo hubieran mandado a hacer. La verdad fue muy divertido, ya que en un principio había dicho que fuera una bata, pero el tema del vestido fue más que perfecto; incluso hacíamos chistes de que faltaban las medias de red. Aun así, luego de eso nos quedamos viendo videos y hablando de todo un poco, incluso jugando algo de COD Mobile, aunque eso ya lo comenté en otro post. Aun así, finalizando todo, cada quien a su casa y, en mi caso, a comprar primero la comida de los gatitos para finalizar bien el día.
