Good day Hivers! How was your first week of the March? I hope everything goes well for us š This is your Janineylicious College Student from Cebu and today, I am going to share something special moment I had experienced in my life.
Year 2022, my motherās younger sister who is also my aunt- her name is Honeylyn and she is also a member here at Hive
She had her church wedding and she invited me to be one of her bridesmaids. Of course, no one will refuse since this is also my first time experiencing being a bridesmaid in my entire life and honestly, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness. As the wedding day approached, I found my self too excited for the special day to come and not just only me, but the whole family also.
Two weeks before the wedding day, my aunt scheduled a certain day for us to have the dress fitting and the name of the boutique is Creations by John Seville. When I arrived at the boutique I was truly amazed by their gown designs and a bunch of beautiful dresses that you can choose. My aunt really has a taste when it comes to outfits because she makes sure that she has the perfect theme and design for her wedding. She actually chooses wine red or maroon because that is her favorite color. The bride and groom will be the ones wearing white, and she wanted to be surrounded by maroon. Because she believes that the color red brings happiness, love and passion.
As days go by, when we finally reached the night before the wedding dayā¦ My auntie booked three hotel rooms, one room for the brideās family, one room for the bridesmaids and another room for the groomsmen. We are all busy preparing some things for the wedding and chatting. I can see that my grandma is also excited and happy for her, and by the way my grandma is now paralyzed that is why she is in a wheelchair. You can really see the love of a mother, how she sacrifice travelling just to participate on the wedding of her youngest daughter. I know that this wasnāt easy for her but she endure it all just for this special day. This is definitely the time of their life!
On the next day, the day we were all waiting for, has finally come. We woke up at 4am because that is what the wedding coordinator instructed us. We need to do our thing early in the morning because the glam team will start at 5am. And they are very strict when it comes to time management because they have to do the makeup for like 10 heads except for the bride since the bride has itās own personal make-up artist and stylist. Itās quite a long process and everyone is so busy and trying their best to finish it on time because we still have a photoshoot at the hotel. Kudos to the photographers and videographers because they really tried their best to engage us especially that we are shy at first. They are very professional with their line of work.
Around 12nn everyone is done with the shoot and we are all packing our things because in an hour we will depart going to the church since the ceremony will start at one in the afternoon. Upon looking at my auntās face I could really see that she is nervous and excited at the same time and I think its normal since this is their big day with her husband. And this made me realize that hopefully soon I could also find someone whom I could finally walk down the aisle with so much love and gratefulness.
Moving forward, we all arrived on time at the church so the coordinators are organizing us to prepare for the processional. Again, this made me so nervous since this is my first time that is why I tried my best to compose my self so I can do it accordingly. And yes, I did it and it is an overwhelming of happiness to witness this kind of special moments.
And now, everyone is waiting for the bride to show up since her bridal car is waiting outside the doorstep. We are like waiting for her a few minutes more and I donāt know why, we are a little bit worried looking at the coordinator who keeps on checking on her. I was thinking at that time that there might be a little problem. And later on, we happen to learn that she refuses to step out of the car because he is still waiting for his father, who is also my grandfather, to arrive at the church because unfortunately, no one noticed that my grandpa wasnāt able to come along with us with the van. He was literally left at the hotel, so he really tried his best to make it through so he ride a jeep going to the church. I was kinda sad when I hear it. Well, thankfully he arrived not too late and here comes the brideā¦

This momentous day was filled with love and blessings as they entered the world of marriage. As part of the bridesmaid team, I am in so much grateful to be part of their journey and I will surely treasure this forever. This day was also a witness of how happy my grandparents are, despite the struggle, they endure it just to see their loving daughter walk down in the aisle. I canāt help myself but cry when I see them walking in the aisle and I know for sure it was tears of joy and happiness. I am praying and wishing them eternal love and blessings. May happiness follow them everywhere.
