Hello friends, I am excited to share with you a wonderful day I spent in the company of my parents and my sister. A few days ago we travelled to a city very close to mine called Puerto Cabello, it is a coastal city, so there are beautiful beaches and beautiful places where you can spend quality time creating memories with your family.
Hola amigos, estoy emocionada de compartir con ustedes un maravilloso día que pasé en compañía de mis padres y mi hermana. Hace pocos días viajamos a una ciudad muy cercana a la mía que se llama Puerto Cabello, es una ciudad costera, por lo tanto hay playas bellísimas y lugares preciosos donde se pueden pasar momentos de calidad creando recuerdos con tu familia.
We had planned the trip for a long time but we still didn't know which of all the beaches we wanted to go to, until, on the way there, my mum insisted that we visit Playa Sonrisa (Smile Beach), as she had been researching on the internet and it was the one she really liked, she had shown us some videos she had seen and the truth is that we were all happy because it looked like a peaceful and fun place.
Habíamos planeado el viaje por mucho tiempo pero aún no sabíamos a cual de todas las playas queríamos ir, hasta que, estando en el camino mi mamá insistió en que visitáramos Playa Sonrisa, ya que había estando investigando por internet y fue esa la que le gustó mucho, ella nos había mostrado algunos videos que vio y la verdad es que todos quedamos contentos porque se veía como un lugar apacible y divertido.
We headed towards Playa Sonrisa, but when we were already in the city we realised that there were no signs on the road that would lead us to Playa Sonrisa (Smile Face), so we had to ask the locals. I remember that one girl told us that we still had some way to go, but another person who listened to her directions told us that we were really close, we just had to cross to the left and right there, next to the boardwalk, was the beautiful beach that lives up to its name because as soon as we saw it, it really brought a smile to our faces.
Nos dirigimos pues, rumbo a Playa Sonrisa, pero cuando ya estábamos en la ciudad nos dimos cuenta de que en el camino no había señalizaciones que nos condujeran hasta Playa Sonrisa, así que tuvimos que preguntar a los locales, recuerdo que una chica nos dijo que todavía nos quedaba camino por recorrer, pero otra persona que escuchó sus indicaciones nos dijo que en realidad estábamos cerca, solo debíamos cruzar a la izquierda y justo allí, al lado del malecón estaba la preciosa playa que le hace honor a su nombre porque en cuanto la vimos efectivamente nos sacó una sonrisa.
Although the day was cloudy and to top it off I was in my menstruation days, that is, I couldn't go into the sea, that didn't matter to me, the place was beautiful, full of good vibes, inspiring signs and above all, I was with my family, very grateful to have them with me and to be able to enjoy that day with them.
Aunque el día estaba nublado y para colmo yo estaba en mis días de menstruación, es decir, que no podía entrar al mar, eso no me importó, el lugar era precioso, lleno de buenas vibras, señalizaciones inspiradoras y sobre todo, yo estaba con mi familia, muy agradecida de tenerla conmigo y de poder disfrutar de ese día junto a ellos.
My parents went into the sea almost immediately and I took pictures of them, they looked cute because they looked like a couple of sweethearts.
Mis padres entraron al mar casi enseguida y yo me dediqué a tomarles fotografías, se veían tiernos porque parecían un par de novios.
The only thing I didn't like was that in some areas there was a bit of rubbish left by tourists, so I dedicated myself to picking up as much as I could because I really can't bear to see so much beauty marred by the dirt that tourists sometimes leave in their wake. I recommend you not to throw rubbish on the ground, especially not plastic, as it is a non-biodegradable material. It costs you nothing to throw it in a basket or rubbish bag or to take it with you until you find a suitable place to dispose of it. And another thing I recommend you to do is to pick up the rubbish you find, even if it is not yours, because the more people do it, the more awareness we will create about it and maybe other people will feel more self-conscious about throwing their rubbish everywhere.
Lo único que no me gustó fue que en algunas zonas había un poco de basura dejada por los turistas, así que me dediqué a recoger toda la que pude porque de verdad no puedo soportar ver que tanta belleza se vea empañada por la suciedad que a veces dejan los turistas a su paso. Les recomiendo a ustedes que no tiren basura en el piso y mucho menos de plástico ya que es un material que no es biodegradable, nada les cuesta tirarlos en la canasta o bolsa de basura o llevarlos consigo hasta conseguir un lugar adecuado donde deshacerse de eso. Y otra cosa que les recomiendo hacer es recoger la basura que encuentren aunque no sea de ustedes, ya que mientras más personas lo hagan crearemos más consciencia al respecto y quizá, las otras personas se sientan más cohibidas a la hora de arrojar sus desechos por doquier
It is inevitable not to let out a smile when you are in that place, feeling the fresh breeze, seeing the joy that surrounds you makes you feel grateful to be able to hear, see and feel. Although I couldn't fully enter the water, I couldn't resist the temptation to at least cool my feet, as the sun finally came out in all its splendour and the heat was scorching. I also took the opportunity to take a photo with my mum.
Es inevitable no dejar escapar una sonrisa al estar en ese lugar, sentir la brisa fresca, ver la alegría que te rodea te hace sentirte agradecido de poder oír, ver y sentir. Aunque no pude entrar completamente en el agua, no resistí la tentación de al menos refrescar mis pies, ya que el sol finalmente salió en todo su esplendor y el calor era abrasador. También aproveché de tomarme una foto con mi mamá.
I truly feel very blessed to be able to have you with me and to be able to share these great moments that help to strengthen our bonds as a family, we leave Puerto Cabello heading home with a smile on our faces, happy, grateful and united, thank you also to you for allowing me to express myself in this space, I send many blessings to all of you wherever you are, blessings to your families and very good vibes. De verdad que me siento muy bendecida de poder tenerlos conmigo y de poder compartir estos momentos grandiosos que ayudan a que se fortalezcan nuestros lazos como familia, salimos de Puerto Cabello rumbo a nuestra casa con una sonrisa en nuestros rostros, felices agradecidos y unidos.
