Hola amigos, el 16 de mayo fue el cumpleaños de mi mamá, y decidí hacerla sentir aún más especial de lo habitual. Hi everyone, May 16th was my mom's birthday, and I decided to make her feel even more special than usual. The truth is, I always try to show her how much I love her because I'm very affectionate, and she deserves all the love in the world. For her special day, I prepared a surprise I knew she'd love: I took her to lunch at one of her favorite places and let her choose any little something from the mall that she liked.
El día comenzó bastante agitado, porque mi mamá amaneció sintiéndose mal, con dolores de columna, sin embargo, luego de una pastilla y su debido descanso, pudimos salir después del medio día, y celebrar lo que restaba de día. Tenía en mi mente llevarla a comer parrilla, y fuimos a un restaurante llamado Carnitazz, donde tienen unos combos accesibles, y la comida es de muy buena calidad, ya conocía el lugar porque habíamos ido con anterioridad por la graduación de mi novio.
The day started off quite hectic, because she woke up feeling unwell, with back pain. However, after taking a pill and resting, we were able to go out after midday and enjoy the rest of the day. I had planned to take her out for a barbecue, so we went to a restaurant called Carnitazz, which has affordable combo meals and very good food. I was already familiar with the place because we had been there before for my boyfriend's graduation.
Pedimos un combo parrillero, aparte una cachapa, y bebida, y sobró comida que, nos trajimos a la casa, porque nada se pierde aquí jeje. Mi mamá estaba muy contenta, y era mi idea principal porque, a veces nos vemos restringidas de comer en sitios públicos por el costo, y últimamente siempre escogiamos algo económico, pero esta vez le dije que, nos diéramos un gusto y así hicimos.
We ordered a grill combo, plus a cachapa and a drink, and there was leftover food which we brought home, because nothing goes to waste here, haha. My mom was very happy, and that was my main idea because sometimes we're limited in our ability to eat out because of the cost, and lately we've always chosen something inexpensive, but this time I told her we should treat ourselves, and so we did.
Luego de almorzar, paseamos un rato dentro del centro comercial, y mi intención era comprarle a mi mamá unas sandalias qué quería, sin embargo, debido a algunos asuntos de emergencia familiar, mi pareja nos dejó en casa de mi abuela, y disfrutamos la tarde/noche de estar con mi abuela y tías.
After lunch, we strolled around the mall for a while, and my intention was to buy my mom some sandals she wanted, however, due to some family emergencies, my partner dropped us off at my grandmother's house, and we enjoyed the afternoon/evening with my grandmother and aunts.
