Hola compañeros, desde hace unos días tenía pensado publicar como me. Fue en la víspera de fin de año con mi familia. Sin embargo, en vista de los acontecimientos políticos, en mi país Venezuela, y el estado de incertidumbre en el cual aún me encuentro, algunas resoluciones planteadas para mi blog, se minimizaron. Aun así, hoy siendo 5 de enero, igual estoy a buen tiempo para comenzar y hacer público mis días decembrinos.
Hello everyone, I've been planning to post about my New Year's Eve with my family for a few days now. However, given the political events in my country, Venezuela, and the uncertainty I'm still experiencing, some of my plans for the blog have been put on hold. Even so, today being January 5th, I'm still in good time to start and share my December days.
Para este día, en la víspera de año nuevo, contaba con la compañía de mi sobrina y mi hermana y su familia. Así que, estábamos a casa llena, ese día me propuse levantar temprano para comenzar los preparativos de belleza y alimentos, porque sin querer dejé todo a última hora. Le pinté las uñas y arreglé el cabello a mi sobrina, y esto multiplicado por dos, pues también arreglé los mios.
On New Year's Eve, I was with my niece and my sister and her family. So, the house was full. I decided to get up early to start getting ready for the holidays and food, because I'd unintentionally left everything to the last minute. I painted my niece's nails and styled her hair, and I did mine too, too.
Aproveché de preparar por primera vez; ponche de crema, y de igual manera, entre tiempos ayudaba a mi Mamá con la cena de fin de año, pero, también con el almuerzo, ya que, se preparó suficiente comida, éramos bastantes en casa, unas 8 personas.
I took the opportunity to prepare for the first time... I made eggnog, and in between meals, I helped my mom with New Year's Eve dinner, but also with lunch, since we prepared a lot of food; there were quite a few of us at home, about eight people.
Luego del almuerzo, donde obviamente nos sentamos juntos en la mesa, pusimos música, y disfrutamos el estar juntos. Claro está, pendiente de las cosas que seguían en el horno.
After lunch, where we obviously sat together at the table, we put on music and enjoyed being together. Of course, I kept an eye on the things that were still in the oven.
Cayendo la noche, me arreglé, me hice un maquillaje más elaborado, y saqué un vestido casual que quería estrenar, nos sentamos nuevamente en la mesa a cerrar este 2026 en unión familiar, con unas palabras que estuvieron a mi cargo, más que agradecer por nuestra salud, y seguir juntos y saludables en este nuevo año.
As night fell, I got ready, did some more elaborate makeup, and took out a casual dress I wanted to wear for the first time. We sat down again at the table to close out 2026 together as a family, with a few words that I was in charge of saying, more than anything, I gave thanks for our health and for continuing to be together and healthy in this new year.
¿Como es que un día tan atareado me dio tanta paz? recordé que hacía todo esto para compartir con mi familia, la gente que más amo, para ver sus sonrisas, y sentirlos tranquilos y felices, me da paz.
How is it that such a busy day gave me so much peace? I remembered that I did all this to share with my family, the people I love most, to see their smiles, and to feel them calm and happy. That gives me peace.
De todo corazón, que el nuevo año esté cargado de todas las cosas bonitas que merecemos, una mente tranquila, un corazón en paz, mucha salud y fortaleza para los que me leen.
