Hola amigos, hace días publique una entrada haciéndoles saber que, tuvimos una misa para agradecer a la divinidad por el grado de mi pareja. Así mismo, unos días después viajamos a Puerto la Cruz para que el recibiera su título como administrador, de la Universidad de Oriente.

El viaje desde mi ciudad, Cumaná, hasta Puerto la Cruz, no fue como esperábamos, el bus donde nos fuimos, no contaba con aire acondicionado, e iba mareada con dolor de cabeza. Al llegar, vi estrellas, de la buena manera, estaba ansiosa por ya llegar en ese momento, había una cantidad grande de personas, entre los graduandos y sus familiares, y ya no había sillas para poder observar el acto más cómodos, por lo que, tuvimos que visualizarlo un gran rato paradas.
The trip from my city, Cumaná, to Puerto la Cruz wasn't what we expected. The bus we took didn't have air conditioning, and I was dizzy with a headache. When we arrived, I saw stars—in a good way! I was so excited to get there. There were so many people, including the graduates and their families, and there weren't any chairs left to watch the ceremony comfortably, so we had to stand for quite a while.
El acto comenzó a las 4pm y terminó como a las 7pm. Me gocé el acto de punta a fin, de verdad que, no se si es porque viví esa experiencia por primera vez, pero, me encantó estar allí. Felicitaba a mi novio a cada momento, porque de verdad el sacrificio que hizo estos últimos años para lograr la meta fue mucho más complicado por el país donde vivimos, Venezuela.
The event started at 4 pm and ended around 7 pm. I enjoyed it from beginning to end; I truly loved being there. I don't know if it was because it was my first time experiencing something like this. I congratulated my boyfriend constantly because the sacrifices he made these past few years to achieve this goal were made even more difficult by the country we live in, Venezuela.
En una universidad que se vino abajo, desvalijada, quemada, insegura, pero, aún así, profesores y directivos, buscaron la manera de hacer que los estudiantes no perdieran la esperanza, encontrando la fe, dando clases incluso en sus casas y plazas de la zona, es de admirar. In a university that had fallen into ruin—ransacked, burned, and unsafe—professors and administrators still found ways to keep students from losing hope, finding faith in them and even holding classes in their homes and local squares. It's truly admirable. Something I also experienced in my own time, but which has intensified year after year.
Siempre se ha comentado que, los profesionales llevan con orgullo haberse graduado de la casa más alta de mi país, la UDO, pero, en estos años se ha demostrado intensamente qué, la universidad de oriente está en todas partes, en una gran cantidad de países, porque hemos llevado la emoción de ser udistas a diversos continentes. Ser graduado de aquí, nos da un caché como profesionales, porque quiere decir que, el nivel de estudios y esmero fue mayor que profesionales de otras universidades del país.
It has always been said that professionals proudly carry the legacy of having graduated from the most prestigious university in my country, UDO. But in recent years, it has been overwhelmingly demonstrated that the University of the East is everywhere, in a great number of countries, because we have carried the pride of being UDO alumni to various continents. Being a graduate from here gives us prestige as professionals, because it means that the level of study and dedication was higher than that of professionals from other universities in the country.
Siguiendo con el tema del grado de mi novio, fue el graduando número 450, así que, antes de el llamaron a más de 400 profesionales de todas las áreas, que iban desde ingenierías y licenciaturas de diversas áreas, médicos , entre otros. Aplausos a protocolo, porque mantuvo todo al margen, había un área donde solo los graduandos podían entrar, y mantenían ese orden. La parte que, más me emocionó fue al final, cuando cantaron el himno de la Universidad de oriente. De verdad que, fue un muy bonito acto.
Continuing with the topic of my boyfriend's graduation, he was the 450th graduate, so before him, they called over 400 professionals from all fields, ranging from engineers and graduates in various disciplines to doctors, among others. Applause for the protocol team, because they kept everything under control; there was an area where only the graduates could enter, and they maintained that order. The part that moved me the most was at the end, when they sang the University of Oriente's anthem. It truly was a beautiful ceremony.
Para finalizar, quiero nuevamente dejar mis felicitaciones a mi novio, por el logro de su meta, como le he dicho, este es el comienzo de una carrera profesional, que aunque ejercía, ahora puede hacerlo legalmente, con título en mano. Me siento muy orgullosa de su logro, y se que tendrá muchas mas objetivos por los cuales celebrar en los próximos años. Aplausos para el y los más de 600 graduandos.
Finally, I want to congratulate my boyfriend again on achieving his goal. As I've told him, this is the beginning of a professional career. Although he was already working in his field, he can now do so legally, with his degree in hand. I'm very proud of his accomplishment, and I know he'll have many more goals to celebrate in the coming years. Applause for him and the more than 600 graduates!
