Hello, everyone! Another blog from me, and have a wonderful day. Monday, January 9, 2023, was the most important day for me aside from the business meeting.
As I mentioned in my last post about my 2023 resolution, I wanted my health to be the same as it was before I was diagnosed with a fibroid. I had to get an operation.
I wake up late because I had a doctor's appointment at Rafflesia Medical Center (RMC) in Kota Kinabalu at 2:30 p.m.
So, about 1:30 p.m., my friend and I went for lunch near the medical centre. I was asked to register about 2:15 p.m., so I went there earlier to avoid being late. Time is valuable, and I despise being late.
While we waited, we ordered soup, vegetables, and rice. We talked until it was time for me to sign in. I'll have scans and blood tests to see if I'm fit for surgery.
The scanning took about 30 minutes, and before that, the nurse took my blood pressure and weight. My blood pressure was pretty high, possibly because I was beginning to panic.
During this meeting, I would meet with two surgeons, and I was urged to have the surgery as soon as possible. According to the scan, it is incredibly large—like being pregnant for 6 months. So if I don't remove it, it will make it difficult for me to move around and even accomplish my job in the future.
I was told to wait for the results of the blood and urine tests. And it is only valid until the following day. My panic attack was so severe that I had to take half a pill of diazepam because my hand was trembling so badly.
Around 5 p.m., I finished, got in my grab car, and headed back to my homestay. It took some time for me to calm down because I was still in panic mode. I felt exhausted, but sleeping is difficult for me.
Around 10 p.m., my friends are worried about me since I haven't eaten yet. So, to avoid bothering them, we went out to eat. I chose the restaurant closest to my homestay place.
This is Kalamatas, Kota Kinabalu. The best place and the place that I always loved to hang out before when I was stationed here during my singing time. The best memories I had here were when me and my ex housemates used to chill here every night after I finished working.
It seems nothing changed here, and the owner is still the same. They are two brothers came from Penang, and they were so happy to see me. The owners were so friendly, and we had a little chitchat.
Since I am not that hungry, we ordered mushroom soup and a chicken salad. Watermelon juice was my choice of drink. We're staying until 11 p.m., and the shop is going to close. It looks like the business hours are not like before, when they closed around 2 or 3 in the morning.
I guess COVID-19 changes everything. And I know it chances me. My resolutions are making progress. And I hope every plan will go smoothly. I am hoping to be healthy, and that is my main priority.
I end my blog with prayers for everybody to have a prosperous future and a healthy life. And may all my hive friends be blessed always. Thank you for reading.
