Hello, dear hivers!! Welcome back to MIYA’s blog!! 💕 My best friend invited me to Bogo. She said she needed to buy school shoes for herself and her siblings since school was starting soon. And after buying their shoes, we could hang out and enjoy the day together. Of course, I said yes right away. I was excited to spend time with her and go on a little adventure.
We arrived in Bogo around 10 AM. Since it was still early, we decided to visit some ukay-ukay stores to find affordable black shoes for school. We looked around but didn’t find anything that matched our uniforms. We tried another ukay nearby, but it was the same. We went from one store to another, but none of the shoes fit what she needed. It started to get tiring, and the weather was so hot that we felt like we were about to melt.
Since we were getting tired and hungry, we decided to eat lunch at Mang Inasal. We ordered chicken meals and halo-halo. It felt so nice to sit down in an air-conditioned place and eat. We took our time there because the heat outside was crazy. It felt like we were going to faint if we stayed in the sun too long.
After lunch, we thought about checking out J&L for makeup and maybe some shoes. We walked from Mang Inasal to J&L, thinking it was close. But oh boy, we were wrong. It felt like we walked for 15 to 20 minutes or maybe even more. The sun was so hot, and my legs were starting to feel sore. But the walk was still fun because we ran into our old Grade 10 adviser. We chatted while walking and laughed together. My best friend kept joking about random things she saw, which helped distract me from my tiredness. (my stomach hurts really bad after the long walk though 😭)
When we finally reached J&L, we looked around, but again, we didn’t buy anything. Then we checked the Metro Supermarket beside it, hoping to find something interesting. But just like before, we ended up not buying anything at all. It was kind of funny how we visited so many places but left empty-handed. In the end, my friend decided to just order the school shoes on Shopee instead. Before heading home, we bought some cold drinks outside J&L and went to the park to relax for a bit.
While sitting there, my friend wanted to join the duo pose trend that’s been going around. I agreed, so we struck some silly poses and took funny pictures. It was random but super fun.
Even though we didn’t buy anything we had planned, I had a great time. It was one of those random trips that became a good memory. Spending time with my best friend made me happy. It didn’t matter that we walked a lot or didn’t buy shoes. What mattered was that we laughed, talked, and shared another day together. I’m really thankful for days like this. Simple, but full of smiles. I hope we get to have more laag days like this again soon.
