Hello, friends and family of Hive. How are you all doing? I’m doing great, since Mother’s Day and my youngest daughter’s birthday are coming up this weekend, which has me feeling very excited.
On another note, a week ago we celebrated the birthday of my dental hygienist, Miriam, at work. I like to let the people I care about know how important they are to me with a small gift, so I got her a present with perfume and a bracelet, since she loves jewelry and smelling great. My coworker and my boss also gave her a special gift on her special day.
We all chipped in to buy a small slice of cold cake, covered and filled with caramel and topped with peanuts and chocolate chips, though in the end my colleague ended up getting another slice of cake this time chocolate so she had two slices. We sang “Happy Birthday” to her after lunch; at that moment, our coworker Juan also joined us, and we hold him in high regard for his camaraderie.
Finally, we each enjoyed a slice of cake. It didn’t look like much, but it was just enough for our small group. The dessert was very fluffy and sweet, with plenty of caramel sauce just the way I like it and they didn’t skimp on the filling at all.
Miriam was very happy with our gifts and the cake. She let me know that she is a very grateful person. Ever since I started in the medical field, it has been a blessing for me to have her at work not only as a colleague but as a friend since she is one of the most loyal people I have around me. We may have differences, but we resolve them immediately by communicating how we feel; we don’t let pride damage our friendship.
It was a wonderful afternoon, one we’ll surely repeat to celebrate life.

Hola amigos y familia de Hive. ¿Como se encuentran? Yo muy bien, ya que al final de está semana se celebrará el Día de las Madres y el cumpleaños de mi hija menor, lo cuál me llena de mucha emoción.
Por otra parte, hace una semana celebramos en mi trabajo el cumpleaños de mi higienista dental Miriam, me gusta hacerle saber a las personas que aprecio lo importante que son con algún detalle, por esa razón le preparé un regalo con un perfume y una pulsera, ya que a ella le encanta la bisutería y oler muy rico, mi colega y mi jefa también le hicieron un detalle especial en su día.
Entre todas compramos una pequeña porción de torta fría, cubierta y rellena con arequipe y topping de maní y chispas de chocolate, aunque a la final mi colega terminó sacando otra porción de torta pero de chocolate, así que fueron dos porciones, le cantamos el "cumpleaños feliz" después del almuerzo, en ese momento también nos acompañó nuestro compañero de trabajo Juan a quién nosotras le tenemos mucha estima por su compañerismo.
Finalmente disfrutamos de un pedazo de torta cada uno, parecía poco pero era la cantidad suficiente para nosotros que éramos poquitos, el postre estaba muy esponjoso y llena de dulzura, con mucho arequipe como me gusta, no le negaron ni un poquito a su relleno.
Miriam estaba muy feliz, con nuestros regalos y la torta, me hizó saber que es una persona muy agradecida, desde que empecé en el servicio médico es una fortuna para mi contar con ella en mi trabajo, no solo como compañera sino como amiga, ya que es una de las personas más leales que tengo a mi alrededor, podemos tener diferencias pero las resolvemos de inmediato comunicando lo que sentimos no dejamos que el orgullo dañe nuestra amistad.
Fue una grandiosa tarde, que seguramente repetiremos para celebrar la vida.
