Hace unas semanas atrás mi amigo Gilberto vino directamente desde Cabimas para hacernos todos en casa unas deliciosas arepas a su mejor estilo, desde hace varios meses atrás habíamos quedado que él me iba a brindar unas arepas cabimeras en sus en su ciudad, puesto que aquí en Maracaibo no las hacen de igual manera pero luego se me ocurrió una idea mejor que él pudiera venir a mi casa y preparar las arepas, para que todos así podemos compartir juntos y disfrutar de las ricas arepas cabimeras hechas por un cabimero de manera tradicional, muy exquisitas, por lo que días previos me pasó todos los ingredientes para que sepabamos que colocarle.
A few weeks ago my friend Gilberto came directly from Cabimas to make us all at home some delicious arepas in his best style, several months ago we had agreed that he was going to give me some arepas cabimeras in his city, since here in Maracaibo they are not made in the same way but then I had a better idea that he could come to my house and prepare the arepas, so that we can all share together and enjoy the rich arepas cabimeras made by a cabimero in a traditional way, very exquisite, so days before he gave me all the ingredients so that we knew what to put in them.
Justamente cuando llegó a casa decidimos ir a comprar todos los ingredientes, para poder realizar las arepas puesto que se necesitan varios para que puedan quedar muy deliciosas fuimos los tres a caminar mi hermana 
Just when he got home we decided to go to buy all the ingredients to make the arepas, since several are needed to be very delicious, the three of us went for a walk, my sister
Luego al llegar a la casa lo primero que hicimos fue colocar la carne mechada a hervir ya que eso lleva tiempo, luego la mechamos, mi amigo Gilberto y yo, el también fue el responsable de preparar el guiso quedó bastante deliciosa, también preparamos las arepas, las fritamos ya que las arepas que deben quedar muy finitas, súper crujientes para que pueda darle un sabor único a la comida, una vez que todo estaba preparado las arepas y la carne mechada procedimos a la elaboración con todos los ingredientes de las arepas cabimeras.
Then when we got home the first thing we did was to put the meat to boil as it takes time, then we larded it, my friend Gilberto and I, he was also responsible for preparing the stew was quite delicious, we also prepared the arepas, we fried them as the arepas should be very thin, super crispy so you can give a unique flavor to the food, once everything was prepared arepas and larded meat proceeded to the preparation with all the ingredients of the arepas cabimeras.
Distribuimos todos los platos a lo largo de la mesa y primeramente se fue colocando una arepa frita en cada plato partida en pedacitos luego se fue agregando, la carne mechada luego el repollo y la zanahoria, posteriormente se agregó el jamón, el queso, también se procedió a agregar la salsa de tomate y mayonesa por último otra capa de arepa y se le coloca arriba salsa y aguacate.
We distributed all the plates along the table and first we placed a fried arepa on each plate divided into small pieces, then we added the shredded meat, then the cabbage and carrots, then we added the ham, cheese, tomato sauce and mayonnaise, finally we added another layer of arepa and then we placed salsa and avocado on top.
Por último todos quedamos encantados con el deliciosas arepas cabimeras, lo mas importante es que pasamos un momento bastante bonito como familia en hacer algo totalmente diferente, también compartir con mi amigo Gilberto fue bonito, aveces es necesario almacenar buenos momentos buenos con la familia y personas especiales que compartan lo mismo que uno.
Finally we were all delighted with the delicious arepas cabimeras, the most important thing is that we spent a very nice time as a family doing something totally different, also sharing with my friend Gilberto was nice, sometimes it is necessary to store good moments with family and special people who share the same as you.
