I hope you are all doing well. How was your New Year's Eve? Mine was spectacular, thank God, although as I write this post, I am still recovering from last night's celebrations.

As I mentioned in my Christmas post, my family decided it would be best to go out for dinner at a place called Botaka here in San Felipe, Yaracuy, which also had live entertainment.

To be honest, unlike Christmas, yesterday I would say they really outdid themselves in that regard. As soon as we arrived, we had our best table reserved (taking into account that we complained about the inconvenience last time, haha) and we were right next to the entertainment. The only downside was being close to the sound, but that was the least of it.

This time we decided to toast with 12-year-old whiskey, which my sister bought and saved for this moment, as she said, "for you to enjoy," especially my dad and mom, who are getting older every year and are at the stage of enjoying those around them. So, well, we started toasting with that, and I should point out that I hardly ever drink whiskey, but it doesn't leave any hangover the next day. Or maybe I drank it very carefully, ha ha ha.

For dinner, we ordered the traditional Christmas dish, and another thing that improved from one day to the next was the flavor of the dish. Although it was very good on the 24th, on this last day they really outdid themselves: the ham had a better sauce, the hallaca had a better stew, the salad and the ham bread too, and we were very full after dinner.

That's when we started drinking, and the entertainment began around 10:30 p.m., counting down to the new year. The entertainers knew how to keep the energy going, and by 11:30 p.m., we were all like at a wedding, dancing, jumping, and shouting, ha ha ha. Seriously, the party was too good.

We left around 2:00 a.m. At least for me, it had been enough night for the moment. My dad and mom were super tired, so we went back at that time. But honestly, it was a pretty good night with the family.

Espero que se encuentren muy bien. ¿Cómo la pasaron este fin de año? Yo, espectacular, gracias a Dios, aunque en este momento que escribo el post, estoy recuperándome justamente de anoche, de mi fin de año.

Como les comenté en mi post de Navidad, mi familia en estas fechas decidió que era mejor salir a cenar afuera con reservación en un sitio llamado Botaka aquí en San Felipe, Yaracuy, que además tenía talento en vivo.

La verdad, a diferencia de Navidad, el día de ayer diría que se lucieron en todo ese aspecto. Apenas llegamos, teníamos nuestra mesa mejor reservada (tomando en cuenta que se reclamó el inconveniente de la última vez, jaja) y quedamos justo cerca del entretenimiento. Lo único malo fue estar cerca del sonido, pero era lo de menos.

En esta ocasión decidimos brindar con whisky de 12 años, que mi hermana compró y guardó para este momento, como dijo ella, “para que disfruten”, sobre todo mi papá y mi mamá, que cada año tienen más edad y están en el momento de disfrutar con los que están. Entonces, bueno, con eso empezamos a brindar y algo que debo acotar es que yo no bebo casi whisky, pero no deja señales de ratón al día siguiente. O debe ser que lo bebí con mucho cuidado, jajaja.

Para la cena, pedimos el plato navideño tradicional, y otra cosa que mejoraron de un día a otro fue el sabor del plato. Aunque el 24 estuvo muy bueno, en este último día se lucieron: el pernil estaba con mejor salsa, la hallaca tenía mejor guiso, la ensalada y el pan de jamón también, y quedamos muy llenos después de cenar.

Allí sí empezamos a beber y la animación comenzó a eso de las 10:30 p.m., llevando la cuenta para recibir el año. Los animadores supieron cómo llevar la energía del momento, que ya a las 11:30 p.m. Estábamos todos como en una boda, bailando, saltando y gritando, jajaja. De verdad, estuvo demasiado bueno el bochinche.

Nos fuimos a eso de las 2:00 a.m. Ya, al menos por mi parte, había sido suficiente noche por el momento. Mi papá y mi mamá estaban súper cansadísimos, así que nos fuimos de vuelta a esa hora. Pero la verdad, fue una noche bastante buena en familia.
