For me it is a beautiful day and although the stores fill their pockets that day, and many times I have done my bit for it I think it is fair and necessary to recognize friendship and love on a special day of the year and like me many think, and from workplaces to schools and extracurricular activities that day is a day of pampering, to show through a small detail the affection we feel for those who are by our side every day.
And that's how a beautiful initiative of the Ballet Academy to which Miranda belongs came up, because on that special day she gave her little dancers one of their dreamed gifts... to share a class with their best friends!
So the girls as a gift for the day of love and friendship could invite a friend to share that special day, which became a double gift because the dancer felt as happy as the guest, because what girl does not dream sometime to be a dancer ...?
"Es un dia comercial" dicen muchos y no les quito la razón, pero hay realmente algo malo en mostrar con detalles el cariño y agradecimiento hacia quienes están a nuestro lado caminando por la vida?
Para mí es un día hermoso y aunque las tiendas se llenen los bolsillos ese día, y muchas veces yo he puesto mi granito de arena para ello creo que es justo y necesario reconocer la amistad y el amor un día especial del año y así como yo piensan muchos, y desde los lugares de trabajo hasta las escuelas y actividades extraescolares ése día es día de consentidera, de demostrar a través de un pequeño detalle el cariño que sentimos por quienes están a nuestro lado día a día.
Y fué así como surgió una bellísima iniciativa de la academia de Ballet a la que pertenece Miranda, pues ése día especial le dió a sus pequeñas bailarinas uno de sus regalos soñados... compartir una clase junto a sus mejores amigas!
Así que las niñas como regalo del día del amor y la amistad podrían invitar a una amiga para compartir ése día especial, lo que se convertía en un regalo doble pues tanta felicidad sentía la bailarina como la invitada, porque qué niña no sueña alguna vez con ser una bailarina??
When Miranda found out about this, she had no doubt about who would be her guest, because Nicol has been her friend since the first day she entered in the middle of the school year to a completely unknown school, she was one of the few who approached her and helped her to accept the sudden change of school and having lost all those who had been her classmates for more than three years. So there was no doubt, the buddies would see each other in Ballet class!
I immediately made arrangements with Nicol's mom, who by the way is also a lawyer and works in the Child and Adolescent Protection System of which I was a part for many years, so if the girls were going to have their special day I was going to have someone to talk to during class time since we are not allowed to enter.
We were already at the square since 3pm because Matías had chess classes and the ballet class was at 5pm, so you can imagine how anxious my girl was waiting for the time to meet Nicol, who luckily arrived fifteen minutes earlier and the meeting was as if they had never seen each other before, although they had been together for only five hours. They ran to hug each other like the great friends they are.
And since they had some time, of course the game was not long in coming and I took the opportunity to take some pictures of them before entering the theater since we are not allowed to enter the classroom, but don't worry because I will show you some pictures that the academy posted on their instagramaccount.
Miranda al enterarse de esto no tuvo ninguna duda acerca de quién sería su invitada, pues Nicol ha sido su amiga desde el primer día que ingresó a mitad de año escolar a una escuela completamente desconocida, fue una de las pocas que se acercó a ella y la ayudo a aceptar el cambio brusco de colegio y el haber perdido a todos los que habían sido sus compañeros por más de tres años. Así que no hubo dudas, las compinches se verían en la clase de Ballet!
De inmediato me organicé con la mamá de Nicol, que por cierto también es Abogada y trabaja en el Sistema de Protección del Niño y del Adolescente del cual formé parte durante muchos años, así que si las niñas iban a tener su día especial yo iba a tener con quien conversar durante la hora de clases ya que no se nos permite ingresar.
Nosotros ya estábamos desde las 3pm en la plaza pues Matías tenía clases de ajedrez y la clase de ballet era la las 5pm, así que se podrán imaginar la ansiedad que tenía mi niña esperando que se hiciera la hora de reunirse con Nicol, quien por suerte llegó quince minutos antes y el encuentro fue como si nunca se hubiesen visto, aunque hacía apenas cinco horas estuvieron juntas. Corrieron a abrazarse como las grandes amigas que son.
Y como tenían algo de tiempo, por supuesto el juego no se hizo esperar y yo aproveché de tomarles algunas fotitos antes de entrar al teatro pues no se nos permite entrar a la clase, pero no se preocupen porque les mostraré algunas fotografías que la academia publicó en su cuenta de instagram.
Finally the long awaited time came! Nicol was happy to be able to line up with all the girls to enter the theater and Miranda not to mention. They entered with laughter and excitement as did all the little dancers and their great friends who had come to the invitation.
Meanwhile, we mommies sat in the square talking until the girls came out at 6:00 a.m., very punctual.

Finalmente llegó la hora esperada! Nicol estaba feliz de poder formar con todas las niñas para entrar al teatro y Miranda ni hablar. Entraron entre risas y mucha emoción al igual que todas las pequeñas bailarinas y sus grandes amigas que habían acudido a la invitación.

muy puntuales salieron a las 6pm con un lindo detalle cortesía de la profesora de Miranda, y por supuesto, quisieron jugar un rato más, porque cuando se está con amigos nunca es suficiente! Así que jugaron un poco más mientras yo le daba un intensivo expres sobre #hive a la mamá de Nicol!!

Y a todas éstas ustedes se estarán preguntando si nosotros hicimos algo especial por el día del amor y la amistad y tengo que decirles que NO, pero ya ésto es algo normal desde que tenemos nuestro emprendimiento, pues ése día trabajamos para consentir a otros, así que nuestra celebración siempre es después, por lo que éste año en casa, la más peque, fue la que disfrutó, y por partida doble del día del amor y la amistad!
