A friend is one of the greatest gifts we can have and depending on the stage of our life they have a different mission, and I believe that by far, childhood friends are those that will always have a place in our heart.
Happy #familyandfriends day, I hope you are feeling great and that your week has started off on the right foot! In my case the weekend was not much rest, so the week began a little weak for me, without much encouragement the truth, since we could hardly rest, but still I could not help but stop by here to tell you our adventure with little friends!
And as I told you a few days ago, in the last chess tournament of my son Matias, I met my friend Claudimar and we agreed to gather the children in one of our favorite meeting places ... the Plaza de La Asuncion.
So the date was set for Saturday the fifteenth at five o'clock in the afternoon, and the idea was an afternoon of fun for the kids, so Claudi's two children, my two children and one of Matias' classmates would go. A group of five children between the ages of 10 and 13 years old, who despite the age differences manage to share without problems.
On Saturday, of course, the routine question "what time is it? "* started very early in the morning, and this happens every time we have an outing scheduled and it usually drives me a little crazy!
Luckily the time flew by and Oswaldo, Matias' classmate arrived at our house on time and at 5pm as scheduled we were in the square waiting for the rest of the group to arrive, but as soon as they showed up the fun began.
Soccer, kickingball, la traes, and so on! Of course there were very few pictures I could take since the least they wanted was to pause in their games and we were there for them, so I didn't want to insist and left the pictures for lunch time.
The two little ones got tired pretty quickly so we decided to go explore the entrepreneurs fair that runs on Saturdays in the plaza and there was a handicraft stand that caught Cesar and Miranda's attention and it was due to a very particular item called "ocarina ".
The ocarina is a small wind musical instrument made of ceramic that dates back to our indigenous people and the stand showed different models. Some very small and others larger, which by placing a little water inside perfectly replicate the sound of birds.
If it had been for the kids they would have stayed there listening to the artisan's demonstrations, but we had to decide what the kids would eat and the two selections were hot dogs from a food truck that caught our attention and some super fun waffles.
Unfortunately after a new round of games Cesar felt sick and had to wait in the cart with Claudi, so with one less soldier we went to get the waffles, which for me was the most original gastronomic sample of the fair as it was a waffle in the shape of a cone, crossed by a skewer, with three different toppings and colored sprinkles.
I managed to try just a little bit of Miranda's and it was really delicious!
Once we were done with the waffles we lost another soldier and not willingly! Arturo, Cesar's brother had to say goodbye to us as his little brother was still feeling sick, so we were left with three kids who were the lucky ones to enjoy the delicious hot dogs offered by the Food Truck.
So two hot dogs later we went home with three happy kids. As they say, tummy full and heart happy.
In view of what happened with Cesar and Arturo, of course a new outing is scheduled, but it will not be this weekend because the kids have a chess tournament, one of those that Claudi and I like! TWO DAYS!!!

Un amigo es uno de los regalos más grandes que podamos tener y según la etapa de nuestra vida tienen una misión diferente, y creo que por lejos, los amigos de la infancia son aquellos que siempre ocuparán un lugar en nuestro corazón.
Feliz día amigos de #familyandfriends, espero se encuentren súper bien y que su semana haya arrancado con buen pie! En mi caso el fin de semana no fue de mucho descanso, por lo que la semana comenzó un poco floja para mí, sin muchos ánimos la verdad, ya que prácticamente no pudimos descansar, pero de igual manera no podía dejar de pasar por aquí para contarles nuestra aventura con pequeños amigos!
Y es que como les comenté hace unos días, en el último torneo de ajedrez de mi hijo Matías, coincidí con mi amiga Claudimar y quedamos de acuerdo en reunir a los niños en uno de nuestros sitios de encuentro favoritos... la plaza de La Asunción.
Así que la cita quedó pautada para el sábado quince a las cinco de la tarde, y la idea era una tarde de diversión para los peques, por lo que irían los dos niños de Claudi, los dos míos y un compañerito de Matías. Un grupete de cinco niños en edades comprendidas entre los 10 y 13 años, que a pesar de las diferencias de edades logran compartir sin problemas.
El sábado por supuesto desde muy temprano comenzó la pregunta de rutina "qué hora es?", y esto sucede cada vez que tenemos alguna salida programada y suele volverme un poco loca!!
Por suerte el tiempo pasó volando y Oswaldo, el compañero de estudios de Matías llegó a nuestra casa súper puntual y a las 5pm según lo establecido estábamos en la plaza esperando llegara el resto del grupo que demoró un poco más en llegar, pero en cuanto hicieron acto de presencia comenzó la diversión.
Fútbol, kickingball, la traes y pare contar! Por supuesto fueron muy pocas las fotos que pude tomar ya que lo menos que querían era hacer una pausa en sus juegos y estábamos allí por ellos, así que no quise insistir y dejé las fotos para la hora de comer.
Los dos más pequeños se cansaron bastante rápido por lo que decidimos ir a explorar la feria de emprendedores que funciona los sábados en la plaza y hubo un stand de artesanías que capturó la atención de César y Miranda y se debió a un artículo muy particular llamado "ocarina".
La ocarina es un pequeño instrumento musical de viento hecho en cerámica que data de nuestros indígenas y que en el stand mostraban diversos modelos. Unos muy pequeños y otros más grandes, a los que al colocar un poco de agua dentro replican a la perfección el sonido de las aves.
Si hubiese sido por los niños se quedaban ahí escuchando las demostraciones del artesano, pero debíamos decidir qué comerían los chicos y las dos selecciones fueron los perros calientes de un food truck que llamó nuestra atención y unos wafles súper divertidos.
Lamentablemente después de una nueva ronda de juegos César se sintió mal y tuvo que esperar en el carro con Claudi, así que con un soldadito menos fuimos a por los wafles que para mí era la muestra gastronómica más original de la feria pues se trataba de un wafle en forma de cono, atravesado por un pincho, con tres toppings diferentes y chispas de colores.
Alcance a probar sólo un poco del de Miranda y estaba realmente delicioso!
Una vez terminamos con los wafles perdimos otro soldado y no por voluntad propia! Arturo, el hermano de César tuvo que despedirse de nosotros ya que su hermanito seguía sintiéndose mal, así que nos quedamos con tres niños que fueron los afortunados de disfrutar de los deliciosos perros calientes que nos ofrecía el Food Truck.
Así que dos perros calientes después nos fuimos a casa con tres niños felices. Como dicen por ahí, barriguita llena y corazón contento.
En vista de lo sucedido con César y Arturo por supuesto que está pautada una nueva salida que no será éste fin de semana pues los niños tienen torneo de ajedrez de esos que nos gustan a Claudi y a mi! DOS DIAS!!!
