Les cuento que estoy en el mes aniversario con mi esposo. Este 15 de mayo cumplimos 26 años de casados. Pero también aprovecho de darle un reconocido mérito a las familias, en especial aquellas que se esfuerzan día a día por superar los obstáculos y mantenerse unidas.

I am in the anniversary month with my husband. This May 15th we will be married for 26 years. But I also take this opportunity to give credit to families, especially those who strive every day to overcome obstacles and stay together.
Aunque la cosa está un poco apretada no queríamos dejar pasar bajo la mesa este año. Pues cada año hacemos algo.
Así que, hicimos una pequeña celebración o una pequeña reunión con mis hijos y unos pocos amigos para pasar un buen rato.
Although things are a little tight, we didn't want to let this year go under the table. Well, every year we do something.
So, we had a little celebration or a little get together with my kids and a few friends to have a good time.
Les cuento un poco, el día anterior, es decir, el sábado salí con mi esposo y compramos algunos ingredientes para la sopa lagarto,verduras, aliños , tambien compramos refrescos y para preparar una pequeña torta.
La torta la prepare ese mismo día sábado, el bizcocho lo hice de naranja porque quería cubrirla con un sirop de chocolate 😉 es una buena combinación la naranja con chocolate, qué opinan🤔
Les cuento un poco de la preparación, bastante sencilla lleva harina, huevos, mantequilla, azúcar, jugo de naranja, ralladura de naranja y vainilla.
Se comienza batiendo el azúcar con la mantequilla hasta crear una mezcla bastante clara, agregamos los huevos y cuando ya estén unidos comenzamos agregar la harina que debemos cernir para un mejor resultado. Y por último agregamos el jugo de naranja, la ralladura y un poco de vainilla, ya luego separé una parte para agregarle cacao y quedara marmoleada entre naranja y chocolate.
Y lista para llevarla al horno.
The day before, that is, Saturday, I went out with my husband and we bought some ingredients for the lizard soup, vegetables, dressings, we also bought soft drinks and to prepare a small cake.
I made the cake the same day Saturday, the sponge cake I made it orange because I wanted to cover it with a chocolate syrup 😉 is it a good combination orange with chocolate, what do you think🤔.
I will tell you a little about the preparation, it is quite simple, it takes flour, eggs, butter, sugar, orange juice, orange zest and vanilla.
We start beating the sugar with the butter until we create a fairly clear mixture, add the eggs and when they are already united we start adding the flour that we must sift for a better result. And finally add the orange juice, zest and a little vanilla, and then I separated a part to add cocoa and it will be marbled between orange and chocolate.
And ready to take it to the oven.
Para el sirop utilice cacao en polvo, mantequilla, azúcar y leche. Se derrite la mantequilla y el azúcar a fuego lento, una vez derretido se va agregando el cacao de poco para que no se formen grumos si es necesario agregamos leche alternada y cocinamos hasta que este quede cremoso.
Del sirop, no tome foto lo siento 😉🙈
Ya el domingo a media mañana nos fuimos a casa de mi hija y allí comenzamos los preparativos para la sopa los hombres se encargaron de hacer un fogón improvisado para ablandar la carne.
Y en la cocina los demás nos encargamos de limpiar las verduras y picar los aliños. Así que la sopa no tardo mucho en estar lista, pues todos colaboraron.
For the syrup use cocoa powder, butter, sugar and milk. Melt the butter and sugar over low heat, once melted add the cocoa little by little so that no lumps are formed, if necessary add milk alternately and cook until creamy.

On Sunday mid-morning we went to my daughter's house and there we began the preparations for the soup, the men were in charge of making an improvised fire to tenderize the meat.
And in the kitchen the rest of us were in charge of cleaning the vegetables and chopping the seasonings. So it didn't take long for the soup to be ready, as everyone pitched in.
Mientras tanto echamos bromas, les cuento una de ellas.
Acá en en cantaura estamos en plena temporada de mango y hay mango hasta para votar. Así que mi yerno le preparo un regalo a mi esposo _ a él le gusta mucho el refresco _ Así que mi yerno sujetó con una cinta un mango a una botella de refresco y le dijo : mi suegro aquí está mi regalo de aniversario!!
Eso fue para todos morir de la risa.
También nos regalaron un arreglo de globos y golosinas.
Lastima que aún no sé montar videos. Porque esta parte donde está el yerno entregándole el mango al suegro es un capture de un video por eso no se ve muy nítida.
In the meantime we make jokes, I tell you one of them.
Here in Cantaura we are in the middle of mango season and there are mangoes to vote for. So my son-in-law prepared a gift for my husband _ he really likes soda _ So my son-in-law attached a mango to a bottle of soda with a ribbon and told him : my father-in-law here is my anniversary gift!!!
That was for everyone to die of laughter.
They also gave us an arrangement of balloons and candy.
Too bad I still don't know how to edit videos. Because this part where the son-in-law is handing the mango to the father-in-law is a capture of a video, so it is not very clear.
Como el calor por acá por el oriente del país está bastante intenso, comimos en el patio.
As the heat here in the east of the country is quite intense, we ate on the patio.
Después de disfrutar este rico plato de sopa no fuimos para el porche de lado del frente de la casa que estaba un poco más fresco porque ya no pegaba el sol y allí conversamos , echamos chistes, la pasamos súper chévere. Hasta que llegó la tarde y compartimos esa rica torta. Unos la comieron con café y otros con refresco.
After enjoying this delicious soup, we went to the front porch of the house, which was a little cooler because the sun was no longer shining, and there we chatted, made jokes, and had a great time. Until the afternoon came and we shared that delicious cake. Some ate it with coffee and others with soda.
Lo cierto amigos, es que, cuando compartimos lo mucho o poco que tenemos con nuestros amigos y familiares eso nos hace felices.
Por eso, quise compartir estos momentos sencillos pero especiales también con ustedes.
The truth is that when we share the little or the much we have with our friends and family, it makes us happy.
That's why I wanted to share these simple but special moments with you too.
