Everyone possesses a unique and captivating story waiting to be unraveled. While some stories may not initially captivate, they have the potential to bring immense joy as they unfold. We all want for a delightful resolution, admiring those fortunate enough to experience a wonderful ending.
Life presents us with countless challenges and troubles, ultimately shaping us into resilient individuals. Two years ago, my family endured a profound test.
Do you believe in miracles? Sometimes, they don't arrive precisely when we expect them to, but rather manifest gradually through our fervent prayers. Today, allow me to share the remarkable journey of my niece, who fearlessly battled her illness for over two years.

Isn't she lovely? She truly resembles a princess with her radiant presence. We sincerely hope that she continues to thrive in good health and remain active.
Her name is Love, and she is an incredibly responsible and loving daughter to her parents, as well as a caring sister to her siblings. She consistently shows understanding in every situation she encounters. She used to be such a lively and cheerful child before the incident took place.
As parents, our prayers constantly revolve around the wellbeing of our entire family. We prioritize good health above anything else, knowing that it is truly invaluable. However, sometimes unexpected circumstances arise, catching us off guard and bringing a sense of sadness into our lives.
Back in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, she fell ill with a fever that just wouldn't subside. Her mother tried various medications and even herbal remedies, but the fever would temporarily retreat only to return again.
I'm really concerned about my sister and niece. My sister took her daughter to the clinic for a check-up and it turns out her white blood cell count is dangerously high while her red blood cell count is too low. The doctor referred them to a hematologist specialist and we are all deeply saddened and terrified by this news.
My niece is only 6 years old and she already had so many bruises on her body. She had been diagnosed with AML Leukemia and it's not just affecting her blood, but her bone marrow as well. The doctor said that only 2% of patients with this disease survive, which is devastating to hear. We are trying everything we can to help her, including immediate transfusions of red blood and platelets when her platelet count drops. If only we had the power to save her from this situation.
We reached out to a prayer brigade for my niece out of sheer desperation, clinging onto the hope of miracles. She endures a grueling cycle of chemotherapy and regular bone marrow tests every three months to monitor her condition. Our faith and prayers have been our guiding light amidst the harsh reality of her medication. Yet, there are moments of despair when we crumble into tears, fearing the inevitable loss that awaits us.
Nevertheless, my niece remains steadfast and resilient, courageously fighting against all the excruciating pain.
Our faith and prayers helped through her medication. There were times that we are hopeless and cried that someday we will lose her. But my niece is really a warrior battling all the pain.
After successfully completing 2 years of medication, she proudly graduated, and the hospital kindly organized a small party to celebrate her achievement before she returned home. Witnessing this incredible milestone brought tears of joy to my eyes, as it truly felt like a prayer had been answered.
Just last night, we joyfully celebrated her 9th birthday, and she is now a diligent grade 3 pupil, embracing modular learning for the past two years. It brought her immense happiness to see her parents lovingly preparing a small salo-salo or a delightful spread of food to share.
I am so grateful for my niece's circle of friends and cousins who bring so much joy to her life. It is heartwarming to see them laughing and talking together. We give all glory and praise to God for his mercy in allowing her to celebrate her 9th birthday.
She has a special bond with her father, who has taken excellent care of her while she is on medication, as her mother works tirelessly to provide for the family. Her father goes above and beyond to ensure she receives proper care and monitoring, even after completing her chemotherapy. We remain hopeful and continue to pray for her complete healing.
Our little warrior is now back home with her loving family, and there is nothing better than celebrating this milestone. Despite the emotional and financial challenges we faced, it feels like the sun is finally shining on us, bringing hope for a brighter future. After the rain, indeed, comes the rainbow.
I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Your support means the world to us.
