Do you also spend time with your family once in a while?
Today's blog is all about how I spent my free day with my family! Well, for those who don't know, my mother is actually in Cebu due to her work. She can only visit us once a week because of her tight schedule. So every time she's here, we will bond, trying to make the most of it. Last Sunday, we planned to go to Bogo City to enjoy our day and eat dinner there.
Before actually going there, I asked my mother if she could buy us some snacks that I've been craving for the past few days, and luckily she said yes. Me and my sister were so happy and excited because we always wanted to eat that food. Don't get me wrong, my dad also buys us our cravings most of the time, but sometimes he keeps on telling us that we shouldn't always eat those kinds of foods because it is bad for our health.
When the weather was not that hot anymore, my mother called us and said that we should get ourselves ready because it was already time to go. It did not literally take too much time for me to prepare because I decided to just wear a simple outfit and tie my hair up. I was about to call my brother so he could also get ready, but my sister said that he had already left because he was going to church with his friends. I was a little bit upset because we already planned to have a bonding session with our family, but he still chose to go. On the other hand, I understood him because he's always been like that, and it's about God and his spiritual life. We all know that we should always prioritize our God more than anything.
We stopped for a while near the BDO bank because my mother needed to withdraw some money. It was not allowed to take pictures inside, so I decided to just photograph the things outside.
When we arrived at the fast food restaurant, typically known as Mang Inasal, my mom immediately ordered food because she knew that we were already hungry. I just ordered the normal chicken inasal and halo-halo since it was the only food I wanted at that moment.
My sister was really enjoying her food because the chicken has always been her favorite, ever since she tasted it.
After we ate our dinner, my brother texted me that he was already at home, so I told my dad about it, and he said that we would just buy him Jollibee since it was his favorite ever since he was a kid. It's kind of sad that he wasn't there with us; it could've been much happier if he was there because he keeps on telling us jokes that make me laugh in some way.
After everything, we decided to finally go home because we were already tired and I was kind of sleepy.
When we finally arrived at home, I gave the takeout order to my brother, and he was indeed happy because we got him his favorite fried chicken.
I am indeed lucky to have this kind of family; I cannot afford to lose them. Spending time with them and bonding with them, even in simple ways, is always special to me.
