Hola hola querida comunidad de hive, cómo están el día de hoy?. Ya hace unos días no subo nada por aquí. Estuve super ocupada con temas de la universidad, y hoy justamente quería mostrarles como fue mi día en odontopediatria.
Hello dear hive community, how are you doing today? It's been a few days since I've posted anything here. I've been super busy with university stuff, and today I just wanted to show you how my day was in pediatric dentistry.
Yo estudio odontología, y desde que comencé he pasado por muchas experiencias nuevas. Hoy me toco entrar a las clínicas de niños e ir revisando un poco el tema de las caries y de la dentición. Lo bueno de esto es que no estaba sola, ya que cumpliria esta linda actividad con mis amigos
I study dentistry, and since I started I have gone through many new experiences. Today it was my turn to enter the children's clinics and go over the topic of cavities and teething. The good thing about this is that I was not alone, since I would be doing this nice activity with my friends.
Todo comenzó más temprano ese día lunes. Comenzamos entregando unas tareas pendientes y rápidamente pasamos al área de las clínicas. Antes que todo, teníamos que dar unas charlas a los padres y representantes, informando de diferentes tenemas de cómo cuidar los dientes. Yo estuve dando esa charla junto a otras dos amigas más, que fuimos las que nos animamos a ese reto.
It all started earlier in the day on Monday. We started by handing in some pending tasks and quickly moved on to the clinic area. First of all, we had to give some talks to parents and representatives, informing them of different topics on how to take care of their teeth. I was giving that talk along with two other friends, who were the ones who took on the challenge.
Estuve bastante nerviosa mientras daba esta charla, hace tiempo no me ponía así de nerviosa hablando, pero lo logré. Rápidamente hicimos una fila frente al salón de clínicas y nos colocamos los artículos de bioseguridad, bata, guantes, gorro y tapabocas, fue muy chistoso como entre todos nos ibamos amarrando las batas y ayudándonos a poner los gorros, tratando de hacer todo con rapidez. Pasamos rápidamente y nos asignaron a un niño o niña.
I was quite nervous while giving this talk, it had been a long time since I had been this nervous talking, but I made it through. We quickly lined up in front of the clinic room and put on our biosafety items, gown, gloves, hat and mask, it was very funny how we were all tying our gowns together and helping each other to put on our hats, trying to do everything quickly. We passed quickly and were assigned to a boy or girl.
Aquí me cambiaron al niño principal ya que este se tuvo que ir. Quedó ahí entonces una niña con la cual habla bastante mientras esperaba que vinieran a evaluarme
Here they changed me to the main child since he had to leave. I was left with a girl who I talked to a lot while I was waiting for them to come and evaluate me.
Según yo, en la evaluación me fue bien. Fueron preguntas relativamente fáciles sobre cosas principales de los dientes.
According to me, the evaluation went well. They were relatively easy questions about the main things about teeth.
Luego de esto fui rápidamente a buscar un cotillón que tenia para la niña que me tocara en el salón. Esta parte de los cotillones era obligatoria, y realmente fue un momento muy lindo
After this I quickly went to get a cotillion that I had for the child I had in the room. This part of the cotillions was mandatory, and it was really a very nice moment.
Después de un largo día pudimos quitarnos las batas y dar por concluida la evaluación. Me hizo muy feliz poder participar en esto, además de que me pareció una buena iniciativa para incluirnos aún más en lo que haremos futuramente. Definitivamente, cualquier cosa se pasa mejor en compañia de otros
After a long day we were able to take off our gowns and conclude the evaluation. I was very happy to be able to participate in this, and I thought it was a good initiative to include us even more in what we will do in the future. Definitely, anything is better spent in the company of others.
Al llegar a mi casa estaba totalmente agotada. Gracias a que había pasado todo mi domingo haciendo tareas, pero eso será un tema que abarcare en otro post jajaja.

When I got home I was totally exhausted. Thanks to the fact that I had spent my entire Sunday doing homework, but that will be a topic I will cover in another post hahaha.
