One friend visiting from China, another friend visiting from Orania and me, from Cape Town!
The bonds of friendships formed over decades have brought us together time and time again over the years! I have known Clement (top left) for around 13+ years and I think I have known Nicolaas (top right) for around 14+ years!
We all got together at the Best of Asia at Tablebay Mall to have lunch. Of course I took this as a challenge because the only way I eat sushi is Buffet! I managed to chomp my way through 49 pieces this time. lol
I must say though, it was delicious stuff! Really well made and top notch ingredients! You can see that we piled up plate after plate from our orders from the waitress as well as snatching up from the conveyor belt.
Nicolaas was running a bit behind so we helped him out!
The Best of Asia restaurant has a wonderful mix of modern shop fittings with a traditional oriental feeling to it.
There are tables and benches on the sides with a central hub for the sushi chefs to make sushi and distribute to the belt which is ringed by barstools.
Of course we all get our supply of wasabi, ginger and a dish for soy sauce.
Fun fact... we are all fairly hilarious and I must be fairly good at choosing friends because Clement and Nicolaas had not met each other before yesterday but they got along extremely well and we all chatted together and had a real ball of a time.
