Saludos bellos amigos de esta comunidad dedicada a los amigos y familia, pero en esta oportunidad fue con solo amigos unos que ya conocía y unos nuevos.
Ya tengo un mes que pase a formar parte de un equipo que es la Fundación Venezuela Solidaria, Capitulo Bolivar, sin fines de lucro, donde la principal misión y visión es la de ayudar a las personas de tercera edad o adulto mayor, como también con condiciones o discapacidades.
Cada sábado se realiza las reuniones ordinarias, donde se quedo que para el sábado 14 de febrero de reunirnos para celebrar el carnaval, el amor y la amistad, entre nosotros o los que asistieron, a donde nos reunimos cada sábado, que llaman la casona, que menos mal queda cerca de mi casa.
También se quedo en elegir la reina de carnaval, entre las damas presentes ese día. Con tiempo en la casa prepare como un tocado, que luego compartiré como lo hice, ademas de llevar el que pudiera algo para el compartir, yo lleve unos pancitos tostados con mantequilla y ajo.
No asistieron muchos, pero con los que fuimos y estuvimos, hicimos la reunión con música, bailes, la picadera.
Llego el momento de la elección de la reina, estábamos 9 damas, pero una no quiso, una ronda de desfile inicial, luego la ronda de preguntas, nosotras mismas eramos las barras de todas, ya que solo habían dos caballeros, otros 3 salieron y se tardaron en regresar.
Ahora si la elección, los jurados los dos caballeros y la dama que no quiso participar, quedando el cuadro de finalistas y reinas así:
3era Finalista la señora Carmen.
2da Finalista la señora Monica.
1era Finalista la señora Mary.
Reina de los Carnavales 2026 Zhandra o sea yo….mas fino.
Y como en los carnavales tambien hay el Rey Momo, quedo el señor Nestor.
Las fotos para las redes, para el grupo y después la comelona principal, un rico arroz chino con ensalada, que trajo la señora Carmen otra, que no fue la 3era finalista.
No porque seamos personas de la tercera edad, no quiere decir que también podamos estar con las celebraciones y actividades que nos gustan desde joven, que aun se celebran en todas partes.
Porque aun siendo mayores, tenemos un espíritu joven. Hasta mas creo que muchos jóvenes.
Luego de que comimos, nos quedamos un rato mas, para tratar puntos de actividades pendientes, donde se tiene que ver lo que es la logística que es algo importante, la movilización del personal a los lugares de visita.
Ya era algo avanzada la tarde y algunos nos retiramos, otros quedaron un rato mas, escuchando música, hablando y bailando.

I have been part of a team for a month now, the non-profit Fundación Venezuela Solidaria, Bolivar Chapter, whose main mission and vision is to help the elderly and adults with conditions or disabilities.
Every Saturday, regular meetings are held, where it was agreed that on Saturday, February 14, we would meet to celebrate carnival, love, and friendship among ourselves and those who attended, where we meet every Saturday, at a place called La Casona, which is fortunately close to my house.
It was also time to choose the carnival queen from among the ladies present that day. At home, I prepared a headdress, which I will share later, and I also brought something to share: some toasted bread with butter and garlic.
Not many people attended, but those of us who went and stayed had a gathering with music, dancing, and snacks.
When it came time to choose the queen, there were nine of us ladies, but one didn't want to participate. There was an initial parade, then a round of questions. We were each other's cheerleaders, since there were only two gentlemen present. Three others left and were late coming back.
Now for the selection, the judges, the two gentlemen and the lady who did not want to participate, leaving the finalists and queens as follows:
3rd Runner-up, Mrs. Carmen.
2nd Runner-up, Mrs. Monica.
1st Runner-up: Mrs. Mary.
Queen of the 2026 Carnival: Zhandra, that is, me... more refined.
And since there is also a King Momo in carnivals, Mr. Nestor was chosen.

Just because we are senior citizens does not mean that we cannot enjoy the celebrations and activities that we have loved since we were young, which are still celebrated everywhere.
Because even though we are older, we have a young spirit. I even think that many young people do.
After we ate, we stayed a little longer to discuss pending activities, where we had to look at logistics, which is important, and the transportation of personnel to the places we were visiting.
It was already late in the afternoon and some of us left, while others stayed a little longer, listening to music, talking, and dancing.
