During a recent drawing session utilizing the fractal rendering drawing program, Apophysis 2.09, I decided to spend time with the Circle Variation feature. I then stumbled upon an image that resembled interlocking rings. I loved the color and design. "Going in circles" was the thought that immediately came to mind.
As I'm creating any digital image, thinking about life in general and different situations individuals face usually come to mind. When pondering the circle of life, I was thinking particularly about my own life. Whether it has come full circle yet is purely subjective. I decided enthusiastically that it had not. I believe I still have more living, learning, and giving to accomplish.
I wanted to share this particular fractal project.
A fractal is an infinite mathematical shape that is represented by coordinates. As I previously discussed, Apophysis 2.09 is a Windows application that is open sourced and utilized for rendering fractal flames. This program can also design and edit the drawing before rendering.
I started with a blank drawing grid provided by the program. The grid line contains an anchored WHITE-colored triangle. This triangle can't be moved.
After maneuvering the triangle across the grid, I finally discovered a position that produced the circle image.
After the program rendered the fractal and saved it, I decided to move it to another drawing program. I wanted to see if combining it with additional fractal digital images I created would fill in the outer areas of the circle.
Pulling it all together:
The last stage of my fractal drawing design needed the assistance of another program. I turned to Canva. Utilizing Canva as a design program means I have numerous tools at my disposal, such as resizing, animation, background removal, and filters. The design canvas is perfect for creating collages and image manipulation.
Here's my procedure.
- uploaded my fractal and associated images;
- duplicated the fractal and added my other fractal images; and finally
- added my signature.
I hope you like my Fractal Rendering digital art.
I previously provided directions on how to create fractal drawings. To see complete instructions on maneuvering and manipulating the triangles, see my how-to post here.
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. If you'd like to try any of the programs I mention here, just let me know below, and I'll help if you require any.
