I share with you today another edition of My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day. I love working with fractal art and other digital images. The array of color I see is inspiring in all aspects of life.
The idea for a challenge based on assigned colors was originally the concept of a former Hive member. I decided to create my own version of the colors assigned to different days. It isn't a challenge, just my own image collection.
For Wednesday my color choices are Black, White, and Gray. The remainder of my color days are located below in my color chart.
I discovered that according to Color Psychology, Black, White, and Gray Black can have a different meaning for every individual. For example, black can symbolize either negative or positive aspects. Not every person may react the same to these colors.
Some people love to dress and decorate in black. It's seen as sophisticated, especially in your wardrobe. I've actually visited a boutique that specializes in black and white. You'd be amazed at the array of designs that are breathtaking, especially hats. However, others may see the color as too dark.
On the negative side, black symbolizes power and mystery. When thinking of its positive aspects, it can symbolize peace and calm; a stabilizing effect. When utilized to excess, it can be overbearing. However, used sparingly, it can grab you and hold you in place. The color black has some powerful mental effects and can be associated with depression.
Gray and White on the other hand symbolize a neutral environment. These colors can portray a distant and cold feel and vibe. You can't readily connect with these colors. According to the variety of colors comprising gray and white, it may feel transparent and cloudy, as though you can look through them to the the side. 1
When I think about black, white, and gray design in my own life, I think of how I decorate my home with these colors. I think I like the colors because they pair well with any other color. In working with these colors in art, they are my favorite: bold and dynamic or soft and willowy. I love to utilize gray as backgrounds.
Below are my images for my Black, White, and Gray day:
Digital Drawings
Apophysis 2.09
Apophysis is a fractal rendering program. In it higher version 7X, the colors are rendered crisp with colors outlining each detail. It's a far superior product over the lower version of the software.
Bomomo
If your favorite art is abstract, then Bomomo is the perfect application to try your hand at. Its unique drawing tools provides a set of specific patterns. The various colors are produced when the tool moved across the drawing board. With this program, you can produce images in various geometrical shapes and patterns.
Nvidia Gaugan
Nvidia Gaugan is a AI generative art program. If you love beautiful landscapes, then with a brush tool, you can create amazing scenes by combining brushstrokes. The program utilizes a blank drawing canvas where you sketch your design. Different tools are available for drawing land, water, structures, and sky elements. The most vivid landscape element I've produced is for clouds.
