The idea for My Life In Color - Highlighting the Color For the Day evolved from a challenge based on colors assigned to each day that was the concept of a former Hive member. I decided to create my own version. It's not a challenge; just sharing many of my personal photos and digital drawing images in my collection.
With that said, today is Thursday. I'll be sharing all colors of the spectrum that's red and brown. According to colorpsychology, color is vital to our human experiences. Through color, we can communicate, promote feelings, ideas and products, inspire emotions and reactions, and change our way of thinking. Not only that, colors can increase our productivity and provide wellness and well being in psychological areas of our lives. In other words, color has a vital impact on how we live and what we visualize around us. knowing the personality and psychological effects of the different colors, including their various shades, is essential. 1
My choice of colors is located in my color chart below in which I assigned a different day of the week with a particular color or color blend.
I've read numerous times how colors affect our lives and how we navigate toward certain hues due to perception. This has been done for thousands of years. In different societies, an array of colors are adapted for specific customs.
Red sits between violet and orange on the color wheel. It's one of the primary color according to colorpsychology.org. It represents passion, warmth, and sexuality. Colors that are similar to red are rose red and red orange. However, it's also a symbol of danger, violence, and aggression. 1
If you want an item to stand out, it's often accomplished by marking it in red ink. In fashion, if you want to make a statement, wearing a red colored garment will definitely work. Red is usually associated with a personality of a person who is confident. 1
The color brown is a combination of red and green. I didn't know that brown symbolizes safety and security. This color also symbolizes earthiness as the soil is predominantly brown. In artwork, the color brown in the 18th century, symbolized simplicity, humility, and wellness. 2
When I think of the different colors in my own daily life, I tend to lean more to the dark and dramatic schemes. Black, dark blue, crimson, dark green, dark brown are my color choices for fashion and various designs.
However, when it comes to art, I love a variety of colors as long as one of my dramatic hues above are included.
I'd be pleased if you'd view my images for today set out below.
