It is another beautiful day and I am grateful to be alive today. It's with great pleasure that am welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're doing well and having a fantastic weekend.
The weekend have been a wonderful one for me and my family but a situation arise but I am grateful that everything is pretty under control right now.
How My Weekend Goes
I can say my weekend started in a wonderful fashion as I spend precious time with my family. Though, the weekend especially Saturday was a busy day for Nigerians citizen as governors and house of assembly election taking place on that day which makes many individuals to go out and perform their rightful duty by voting for their prefer choice. But me and my wife have to stay at home since we both don't have voting cards and it is already late before we process for another one.
During the election day, there was lack of electricity supply and I believe this was intentional done by the government to make sure that people come out to vote and since there is lack of electricity supply then they won't have something to keep people busy at home.
In the morning, I have to take care of my broiler birds, give them feeds, refill their drinkers and inspect each one of them to make sure that they are all in good condition. At that time my baby boy was busy playing around in the compound while my wife is busy in the kitchen.
We have to stay indoor throughout the day since we don't have any business to do outside. Around quarter minutes to 9pm, me, my wife and my baby are inside the room. My and my wife was busy with our phones while our baby boy is busy playing in the room. At that moment, there is no light in the room because our rechargeable flashlight has already rundown, my wife noticed that something walk through her leg and she immediately used her hand to dust away the insect. And unfortunately it was not just an insect but a scorpion. As she dust it away from her leg, the scorpion fell on the elbow of our baby boy and stung him immediately. At first we don't know that scorpion have stung him because he doesn't cry from the stung, but we noticed that he is holding his his elbow and when we checked, it already started swollen. At that moment I have to used a rope to tie his arm by stopping the poison from moving through his body. We searched the room and my wife saw the scorpion hidden at one corner of the room and I killed it.
We rushed him to their nearest pharmacy that we have in our neighborhood and he was administer an injection and some drugs too, and he is quite looking pretty good. Though, when the incident happened, my wife started crying, you know women, they can sometimes be fearful but she later controlled her emotions. Though our baby boy is now alright, playing around the compound as usual but it was a bad experience for him and left us shocked because he is too young to experience such a painful situation. But that's how life can sometimes be, but we are happy that everything is now in the past.
