I go in confidence on this brand new day,
But I don't know what lies ahead,
So dear God, I 'm praying this morning,
Take hold of the way and lead it.
With these two eyes, I do not know,
I can't say where the risk lies.
Please be my guide, dear Lord.
Don't let me wander from your hands.
Show me the journeys you need to take today.
Guide me on the best paths on follow.
Give me the grace to distinguish your will,
For where and when to try to be still.
Enable me to believe and enjoy you more.
And radiate my neighbor's love for you.
Take me back safe and secure then,
May my appreciation for you be plentiful.
