Greetings to the entire HeartChurch International Ministry community. Considering the new guidelines for the focused devotional challenge on “Covid-19”, I want to share with you all my experience of the birth of my son Adam Israel, who was born within the quarantine period decreed by the government of my country, Venezuela .

When everything proceeded normally in my country, where the arrival of the "Coronavirus" was not yet expected, everything was an enjoyment and joy in the family. The exchange was constant, we met with joy and celebrated any activity with the children. No one imagined that a "little invisible being" would temporarily end each week's family exchange. Despite the country's situation, family sharing was always most enjoyable.
While the process of my pregnancy was developing, my husband was very attached to my belly. Her greatest wish was for our third baby to be born quickly. He liked to caress and kiss my belly a lot. All in an atmosphere of joy and hope in the birth of our baby, to whom we had already prepared his name: Adam Israel.
There was a lot of joy and expectations with the baby who was on the way. As my belly grew, I was getting nervous because the noise of a “Virus” that was hitting some countries was already being heard and the government was listening to the news reporting that they were preparing to combat the arrival of this virus in Venezuela. With all this news, my husband also worried, but he was very encouraged to put his hand on my belly and enthusiastically await the birth of the baby.
When the news broke that some cases of "Covid-19" were reported in my country, I was very panicked and nervous, because the alarms of the spread of the disease were of great consideration. The government began to enact preventive security measures to prevent contagion and what stood out most in the measures was that people had to stay home, and this distressed us the most, because the hospital where my baby was due to be born in a health emergency to recondition it and attend to the cases of "Covid-19" that will appear in the area.
In addition to the quarantine measures that were being applied in the country, the gasoline problem arose, in which the country did not have much fuel and all the pumps were supplying gasoline, only to people authorized by the government, and this made it difficult for us the situation, because my husband was not authorized and the date of the caesarean was near.
Everything was getting complicated and things were getting very difficult. I began to cry out to my God to help me to come out of this pregnancy successful, to allow me to give birth to my baby over the difficulties that were both in the hospital and with the problem of gasoline.
Finally the day of delivery came, the Lord opened doors for me in the hospital, the doctors for the caesarean appeared and my husband was authorized to solve the gasoline issue. Thank God, for his immense love and mercy, that my son Adam Israel was born healthy.
It seems easy to tell this true story of the birth of my son in quarantine, however, everything seems contradictory, that while my son came to this world in the middle of the pandemic, other people died in different parts of the world by the "Covid-19" .
Thank you God for your love and kindness, and for the birth of my son.
