1 SAMUEL 7:11-13
Then the men of Israel charged out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, striking them down all the way to an area below Beth-car.
Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the LORD has helped us.”
So the Philistines were subdued, and they stopped invading the territory of Israel. And the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.…
Ebenezer,
You are all I have,
All I have is you,
Ebenezer.
My eyes are on you,
My hope is in you,
My trust is in you,
Ebenezer.
I am your responsibility,
You are responsible for me,
For you are my God because you are mighty.
You won't let me down,
Ebenezer.
In you, there is no atom of turning,
There is no unrighteousness in you,
In you, there is no disappointment,
That's why I can trust my hope in you,
That's why I can cast my hope in you, Jesus,
Ebenezer.
You are all I have,
all I have is you,
Ebenezer.
If we fill our minds with pains and challenges, we can hardly keep our minds on Him. Our help comes from the living God, the one who made heavens and the earth.
Like Samuel, let us make it a point of duty to always build a stone of remembrance through our praise and worship in times when He has saved us, in times when we have come out of the battle victoriously.
PSALM 121:1-8
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
His divine power and protection have granted us all the things that pertain to life.
Ebenezer, you are all i have.
