1 KINGS 20:23-28
And the servants of the king of Syria said unto him, Their gods are gods of the hills; therefore they were stronger than we; but let us fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they.
And do this thing, Take the kings away, every man out of his place, and put captains in their rooms:
And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, and surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.
And it came to pass at the return of the year, that Benhadad numbered the Syrians, and went up to Aphek, to fight against Israel.
And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.
And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the Lord, Because the Syrians have said, The Lord is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley
When things go wrong, He'll make them right
And the God of the good times, is still God in the bad times
The God of the day, is still God in the night
The God of the day, is still God in the night
Every christian will go through their own valley in different way and different time. Every christian is faced with different challanehges and trialsn and temptation in every phase of their life but what should keep us going is that God is still there with us.
You talk of faith, when you're up on the mountain
But talk comes so easy, when life's at it's best
Now it's down in the valleys, of trials and temptations
That's where your faith, is really put to the test
Life is easy, when you're up on the mountain
And you've got peace of mind, like you've never known
But things change, when you're down in the valley
Don't lose faith, for you're never alone
The valley is the place our faith is put to test. In the valley, our faith is stretched. The mountiain is a place for our preparation of the valley. Our mountain is a place where we find rest and peace but our valley is a place where we face trails and temptations of life and there our faith is put to test. The valley is hard and full of thorns and bushes but even in our times of valley, He is still our God.
The God in the good times, is still the God in the bad times. No matter what we are going through today, no matter the pandemic, God is still with us. The same God that was with us when there was no COVID-19 is still the same God in the time of COVID-19.
Our God is not limited, He is unlimited and reigns through out the earth even to the deep of the sea.
