While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ
Today in my time of prayer, meditation and reading of the Holy Scriptures, I was struck by this verse from the Gospel of Matthew in which he tells us about the moment of a woman's visit to Jesus in which she poured out a very expensive perfume on his head.
Thinking about this moment in the life of Jesus leads me to think that I should give Jesus my gifts and give him all the best of my life.
We are now at this time in difficult times in which we must be giving Jesus the best of us since he knows our needs and on his part is offering us health and well-being, just as at that time he visited Simon who suffered from Leprosy.
I ask for each one of us so that placed next to Jesus we ask for his support and give health to the sick of covid19. Give comfort to those who have lost loved ones and that the work of the church brings the love of Christ to the nations. I ask it in the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
