Galatians 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
In order to completely be in Christ and consistently remain in Him, we must crucify our flesh.
The flesh, in this context refers to the natural desire for ungodly satisfaction, lust and inordinate affection.
Example, the desire to become rich urgently and the restlessness thereof, the desire to have what others have by all means, the lustful desire to sleep with someone you are not married to, desire to control others against their wish, hunger for popularity, among others.
These things drives one to sin, even without the consent of the man involved in it.
Thus, in order to abide in Christ, these things must die. God cannot behold iniquity, as such we can never dwell in His presence with those sinful baggages.
Are you caught in a battle with the flesh on these, cry to Jesus for help today. He's able to deliver from sin and sustain us in His righteousness.
Jesus is the answer today and forever.
Let's pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege and grace to belong to you. Please help us to crucify our flesh and remain completely yours, in Jesus name. Amen.
