Romans 8:9 " But ye are not in he flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man has not the spirit of Christ, he is non of his."
Having the spirit is not achieved through attending church alone. Not everyone has the spirit of Christ. 'But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit'. By this statement, God is talking about another life. A life which he wants you to demonstrate and manifest for the world to see, a life of Christ!
This life goes beyond the flesh itself. You are no more in the flesh, in the spirit. Your actions, attitude, speech, character, associations should portray those of Christ, if not , you are not His and you have nothing in commonwith wi Him.
Romans 8:10 " And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of some, but the spirit is life because of righteousness".
You do not have to to struggle to be a Christian because something in you makes you a child of God. The righteousness that is working in you is now what makes your spirit come alive!
Romans 8:11 "Buy if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelled in you".
You are yet to understand the mystery behind death. The BIBLE says " there is a spirit that causes that dead thing, that bead body come alive..... Jesus himself called out Lazarus from the grave. In the case of the daughter of Jairus, He went there and told her, 'Talithacumi' meaning stand up.... Lydia's story is another, where Peter knelt by her side and prayed to God and she came back to Life.
Inthe case Of JESUS, nobody called the body up to resurrect, rather, the spirit of God understood the timing and the working. If the spirit that raised JESUS from the dead dwells in you, it would surely change your atmosphere. The spirit of God that raised JESUS from the dead is a sign that He can cause something dead in your life to resurrect. The spirit of God is a guarantee for your supernatural experience.
Paul said that it is good and commendable to pray in our dialect.
However, she also said' pray in he spirit' He further said, 'if you think you pray in tongues, I pray more than you all'. In Thessalonians, he told the church, 'pray without ceasing and pray in the spirit'. (Thessalonians 5:17-19).
Good morning and happy Lord's day.
Remain Blessed.
