It is the responsibility of the members of the house of God to look for the lost sheep. To work to increase the numerical strength of the church.
To the early Christians, they desired the work of God to the extent of taking it as their obligation. The work of God was pressing on their heart. (Act 4:20). On the first commission, Jesus Christ sent out the twelve apostles to the lost sheep of Israel (Matthew 10:5-7).
All of us as children of God should see evangelism as another great task given to us. God requires us to preach the good news. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-16).
The importance of The Gospel.
The importance of the gospel is understood by the fact that it is God's power into salvation. (Romans 1:16). This is because the gospel, the death of our lord Jesus Christ on the cross has given meaning. (1 Cor 2:1-2) .
By extension, the gospel contains all the word of Life. (Acts 5:19-20). The importance of the gospel is further donated in the word of our lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 9:37-38).
