It is a step of faith that we have decided to take in this world recognizing that only Jesus has the power to save man in all areas of life.
In this order of ideas as Christians we are called to live with humility and faith in our Christian relationships and with the world, for certainly just as the body is made up of several members each with different roles and individual responsibilities but all intimately related as a unit in Christ in only spirit and in one truth, obeying all the guidelines as biblical principles to live a life of communion and obedience to God and strengthening our attitudes in times of crisis.
It is important to highlight that our faith is not tested when everything is going well, but in the crisis where your only hope is Jesus and obviously as Christians we have a fundamental role in this time of crisis that we are experiencing worldwide.
I think it is important to reflect on our role in the midst of this time.
The apostle Paul advises us the following:
Philippians 4: 6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but let your requests be known before God in all prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
King James Version (RVR1960)
More than a request or advice, it is a request that Pablo makes suggesting a special intensity in prayer in times of crisis, which means that the first thing we must appeal at the moment is to pray to transfer all the weight of what is in our souls directly into the hands of God so that He takes all control of reality and of our anxieties or anguishes that may come to our hearts.
The second is to try to keep the peace in our hearts that God has promised to give us at all times.
John 14:27
27 Peace I leave you, my peace I give you; I do not give it to you as the world gives it. Not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960).
God is the main source of peace in our hearts. He has promised us His peace that is not comparable to the peace that the world claims to give, therefore He has asked us not to be disturbed or afraid because He is with us.
Isaiah 41:10
10 Fear not, for I am with you; do not lose heart, because I am your God who strives you; I will always help you, I will always support you with the right hand of my justice.
Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960).
If we have truly believed God, these promises cannot be lacking in our hearts, we must never forget them because they are precisely what make us feel confident in the midst of the crisis.
Do you know what David did in moments of anguish and crisis?
He raised his eyes above any situation and understood perfectly that his help only came from Jehovah and then he exclaimed:
Psalms 121: 1-2 NLT
I will lift my eyes to the mountains; Where does my help come from? My help comes from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.
RVR1960: Reina Valera Bible 1960
