The bible says that we children are a heritage of the Lord since we are the most valuable thing that God has created and we are like a thing of esteem in the eyes of God.
God created us in his image and likeness; he uniquely and wonderfully designed us and we are his perfect handiwork. He loves us so much that he gave his only son to die for us as a sacrifice to give us salvation and eternal life.
In this order of ideas we ask ourselves, what does God want from us? God wants or longs for all of us to give him our hearts so that he can transform us to another level of life.
Jeremiah 17:9-10
The heart is deceitful above all things, and wicked; who will know him? I am the LORD, who searches the mind, who tests the heart, to give to each one according to his way, according to the fruit of his works.
(RVR1960)
Only God knows our hearts and knows what is internally within it because we ourselves do not know it as God knows it and according to what we sow in it we will reap in our actions and decisions, that is why God asks our heart to transform it his way.
"The result of sacrificing our heart or will to the Lord is that we receive the spiritual guidance we need. With a greater understanding of the Lord's grace and mercy, we will find that our stubborn hearts begin to break and feel gratitude."
Psalm 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a right spirit within me.
(RVR1960)
We must all have the humility to ask God to cleanse and create a righteous heart within us in order to honor our heavenly father since it is through the heart that man can be transformed into light
